yes, he does all his passing. (Flippant remark). don’t know why, but he, to put it mildly has had a serious downturn in form.
McShane is another one. He was rated by absolutely no one in the Pearson/Barmby years. Then overnight became a hero after Bruce brought him back into the side.
I hold my hands up and feel ashamed that I gave Damo dogs abuse when he first played for us. What an out and out arsehole I was. Still feel guilty when I think about it. The **** me.
He was absolutely gash once he signed for us. Head went completely. Nick had no idea how to manage Sir Steven Bruce did and does and made him a player.
I think that was in no small way thanks to Wayne Brown playing alongside him ... sadly for Brown when we got promoted and got hammered by Wigan it showed his lack of pace at the highest level .. but in the Championship when paired with Turner he brought him on in leaps and bounds.
Harper Thought he was **** when he first started and became even worse. Didn't stay long enough to become a 'hero' I hear you say.... Thank ****
Keith Edwards. Got a lot better when he signed for us, turned to a **** when he returned to Sheff Utd.
Bobby Doyle. Thought he was cack, but actually he was pretty useful. Shame he came to us towards the twilight of his career.
Michael Dawson's first game for us was awful, but guess he was always going to end up better than that with his pedigree so probably doesn't count.
i was disappointed bruce signed him. there was never a better cb pairing under bruce than chester and davies. you couldn't buy dawson and leave him on the bench, but his signing didn't improve us.
Especially as we'd already signed Maguire at that stage who was clearly the natural successor to Davies.
Bobby Doyle, just showing very good form before Cusack broke his leg He found very good form, before ****house Cusack broke Doyle's leg, in a so-called friendly match as well. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Kev Stewart another one, up until 18 months ago widely derided, ever since then we've looked so much poorer without him out of the team that when fit he's one of the first names on the team sheet
