Old Pubs on a matchday

I used to go to The Valley pub, but not on a match-day. More usually on the Sunday after, sometimes after watching the pub team play.

Good memories of a time now long past.

The Victoria took my money a few times.

 

There will be another 4 in a couple of weeks time

 

Went in the valley club when had kids with me, if not the watermans

Mr Waters was the publican.

 

The pub was renamed from the "Lads of the Village" in 1982 and finally closed in 1997 to be converted into a veterinary surgery.

The premises was used for an episode of London's Burning in the 1990's and was named for the purpose, the "Roebuck Arms."
