My Golf R was supposed to run on that stuff, but was told you can get away with only sticking it in every few fills. If I tried hard enough I could get that to do 8 mpg, but it used to average about 26-28. I got bored having to fill the thing up nearly every other ****ing day, so it had to go.
Yeah anything over 87 should do and most standard is 95 iirc.
My commute is mostly motorway so I might get a bit better than 18mpg.
