Wouldn't mind watching a bit of live German football on the telly. I used to watch the highlights show with that large German bird who looked like an escaped Gestapo officer from a concentration camp

Football needs to get real. No way can any sort of football at any level resume until all this **** is over. Money and total greed is driving this without a doubt. If the country is in lockdown and the population is social distancing then there is no excuse for football to be treated differently. It is impossible to play the game without physical contact not to mention the travelling, the spitting, the treatment of injuries and then the spectator aspect. Suck it up football...it ain't happening and tough **** Liverpool and TWS. There are more important things to worry about just now. As of today roughly the equivalent of our average home attendance has died due to an unseen enemy.

    Here's a plan....
2019/2020 season to continue in mid August, all leagues to finish in December. Break over Christmas and January 2021
Feb, March, April, May to be a festival of football. To include FA cup, league cup, champions league tournament. Plus Euro 2021 in June & July.
2021/2022 season to start in August as normal.

Football pitches would make great allotments as times get tighter.

Great idea. 24 x 365 growing period providing someone can pay for the floodlights.
    Legalised cannabis heaven created overnight.
    Government tax revenue too.
Go for it. Sod football - overpaid prima donnas.

    Edit: For medicinal purposes naturally.

Those grass growing light racks they use would be perfect for a cannabis farm.

I see these reached a suitable solution to it all north of the border.

They're even giving out the medals.

The turnstyles at the grounds would be ideal for the mad rush of demand for the product.
Hey, we have a business plan !

Q: Who's the government's "Small Business Development" minister these days. I'll get the ball rolling if someone can get me his/her number !

    Great idea D_B.

We could end the Prediction League right now for this season (the results have already been posted/published) and get a well earned rest. Like it.

There are only 2 of us on the board of governors.

    What say you ? :emoticon-0100-smile<laugh>

Geordie lad here. I personally doubt the PL will resume in May, but fingers crossed. However, good luck to you tigers for the remainder of the season. Had a soft spot for you lads since Geovani scored those mint goals when you were flying high. Like us, you haven’t had the best owner. Good luck.

Even though I do to a large degree agree with what you say, it is also important to keep people in jobs as that could well have as many social repercussions as this virus. Yes, we have to try and keep people safe, but at the same time football generates a lot of jobs and business not only at the ground but travel companies and local shops and businesses all suffer from this continued lockdown, so I do see a need to get back playing as soon as is reasonably safe.

You could well be right, good luck for the remained of the season, I know Bruce has his critics, but he was revered here and did a great job for us IMO. I hope you also get the owners that can do justice to your club.

Seems like it’s going to happen, although with Ashley you just never know. It’s hard not to get excited at the moment just due to the riches the new owners would bring (apparently worth 230-250 billion) but I’d like to think our fans are humble wether it happens or not. I mean going on sky sports and seeing paper talk of Allegri being linked isn’t a bad way to wake up, haha. But I’ll believe it when I see it, takeover wise.

Our takeover would be going great if we could find someone willing to pay between £40-50m for a business that’s not worth half the asking price!
