More good news for Newcastle as world class manager the favourite to take over next season They state that former Juventus boss Max Allegri is now the bookies favourite,
Captain Chaos Now that you are celebrating the takeover of Newcastle by a bunch of Billionaires who have robbed their own people to obtain that wealth are you now a full blown redneck Tory in the image of Donald Trump rather than a wishy washy impotent leftie
they will invest in the city, so given how little our own government has done for us over the centuries of being raped and pillaged fighting their wars I'm quite happy to give them a chance.
Thing with this takeover is, Everton (as per comments from their guys above) had this a few years ago and Wolves are the latest before Newcastle to go big investment and target being a major player. There just isn’t enough titles/cups to win and European places available for all these clubs to justify their spending and ambitions. I wonder if it’ll see the likes of Arsenal and Spurs (traditional giant and next level down club in Spurs who build themselves up to the top table over many years without over spending) fall back into mid table, whether there’ll genuinely be interesting seasons with different top 6/7 every year or if these billionaire play things will be sat mid table...
this is another level this one mind, but I hear you The numbers behind #NUFC prospective new owners, the Saudi PIF, are absolutely staggering. Estimated to be worth over £250 billion, Newcastle would be the richest club in the world - never mind the Premier League. Astonishing levels of wealth. I suspect another place in europe might happen in the future... remember there was only 2 champs league places not so long ago and one before that. theres going to be a lot of bitching from haters , but none of them said a thing about sheffield uniteds saudi takeover, so they are being insincere about their real discrepancies.. its really their concerns about nufc being a major player.
I’ve nothing against Newcastle (I have a close pal who supports you whose a gobshite but he’s had to pay up a lot of years now of us finishing ahead). It’s more a general observation about how these takeovers by billionaires will affect things and there’ll definitely be many unhappy owners that expect better but there’s just not enough opportunities. If you assume the ‘sky 6’ then Everton, Wolves, Leicester and Newcastle with the investment as a likely favourite top 10, there’ll not likely be that many European places or it’ll be like the rugby premiership where everyone apart from the one team relegated gets in Europe! There is more important things than just money as Everton see though. Good recruitment starting with the right manager, sports science, training and youth facilities etc. Investment gives a good foundation though if used responsibly. I’m not sure what kind of wealth the Sheff Utd Saudi has to be fair even though they’re my local side. They seem to like being the underdog as a club so nothing comes out from them about openly staring high ambitions even if they do behind the scenes
I wasnt directing the hater topic towards you mate. all i know is some people wont like seeing our owners bulldoze their way to the top over the next decade
I know mate as I say it’ll be interesting to see what shake up it has. You’d expect Man City and Liverpool to go nowhere and Man Utd due to wealth and reputation despite having a bad spell. Chelsea have dropped back a bit as Roman has seemed less interested so who knows. Our owners are paupers in comparisons so makes this season more special for us until the virus...
lets see if it even happens first ... fingers crossed... jees anyone will do just want ashley out and someone to at least try a bit.
And he’ll be apoplectic when the transfer spending isn’t that impressive after the first initial wave of overpriced mercenaries. This is not a City style takeover.
of course... I'll ask you again do you think thee Prince of Saudi ie future king wants anything but a club competing with the best ? as a fan top 8 will do, but I just have this feeling deep deep down inside that their aim is top 4.
So is the £250bn all set for Newcastle? If he will only settle for the top, why is he letting Staverley and another investment fund have 20%? He could just come in and have the lot in one go, install his own board and people and have nobody getting rich off his £250bn investment.
