Good Morning. It's Wednesday 15th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Drawing a line in the sand for the 2019/20 season With the Coronavirus showing no signs of letting up, and football clubs losing millions of pounds each month in revenue, should there be a cut off date to when time is called on the 2019/20 season? Recent reports show that a number of professional football club, many that have been around for the last 100 years are close to folding due to high overheads, and no revenue coming in! Many footballers have also contracted the deadly virus, the latest being Aston Villa shot stopper Pepe Reina! What happens if the season recommences but half your squad have Codid19? Bearing all of this in mind, should there be a cut off point that the current season is bought to an end? please log in to view this image Prankster Alioski wandered off with TV equipment cutting off Sky Sports live feed! Gjanni Alioski has opened up to the Yorkshire Evening Post as being the biggest prankster at Leeds United. The North Macedian International, who was recently voted the least favourite team mate to spend isolation with by virtually all his team mates (in jest) recalls some of the high jinks he gets away with. His antics this season include ribbing opposition players in the tunnel, flicking the ears of team-mates, acting up for the camera, diving onto a mountains of cushions in the communal lounge at Thorp Arch and even disrupted live TV earlier this season when he picked up a piece of television equipment and wandered off with it, cutting off Liam Cooper's interview. One of the 28yo's favourite rituals he performs is tunnel shaking:- "You make the other security nervous when we play away and they get angry and I like it. I enjoy it when they're angry. "When I see my team-mates like it then it's good. I don't need to do it but I did it last year and because we won I felt I needed to do it [again]. "I like to do some mimicking [of opposition players], to look in their eyes, to laugh and smile and say something. "My team-mates think I'm crazy. It's wrong. I'm a lovely guy, I think hard, I smile always. Of course I'm a little crazy but you need to be in good moments. "I can annoy a lot of people in the team with the voices I can do. They miss me because they like it." please log in to view this image If you could pick.... Pick three players who have represented the Whites in the last 20 years to replicate their form from yesteryear and finish the remaining nine games of the 2019/20 season, who would they be? If you could select three players from the last 50 years, who would you select? The only rule is that you can't pick two players that have ever played together whilst they were at Leeds! please log in to view this image
Good morning, Like everyone I'm getting restless with the uncertainty but we don't want to call a cut off point too soon. We have no idea what's going to happen yet. If we cut this season short to start next years on time but then we have a 2nd wave in November/December what happens then? I'm alright with watching how this plays out for a couple more weeks before a decision is made. My main concern that I've posted on other forums is if we restart in June, what happens if teams claim they've had an outbreak of the virus and they can't possibly play. I can't see the EFL forcing them to play under those circumstances and it could be a tactic to try and get the season voided. I'll have a think about the three players I'd bring back. There's a lot of competition in the early 2000's. Radebe, Viduka, Kewell, Bakke, Matteo? Difficult to choose one.
Morning Tommo, exactly, for me it has to be between Viduka and Rdebe. We needs the goals, but how could you leave out the Chief?
Morning all, Recent players to play their best in the remaining part of the season, Douglas, Costa and Hernandez. In the past 50 years, i.e. back to 1970 you would have to have Billy, Strachan and Viduka. Sometimes though a Vinnie would't go amiss.
What a cracking morning to forget about corona virus and a good morning to Matt and co from me The 3 players I would bring in Charles for no goals Hunter for Cooper Currie for Hernandez Bremner for anybody
Id have to have either Viduka or Radebe. Lets go Radebe I'm going to go for Madeley as a left back. Need a forward. I'm going for Chapman
I don't think I'm understanding the rules, nothing new there!!
And in answer to your first question I think that the cut off point should be the original end of the season to make a decision about what happens next.
Last 20 years : Taylor, Milner, Beckford Last 50 years : Bremner, Strachan, Yeboah I can't recall Strachan & Yeboah playing together as Gordon made limited appearances in the 94/95 season. Yeboah came in January '95 & Strachan left Leeds in March '95
Yeboah would single-handedly take this Leeds team up to the premiership He didn't need assists, he made goals off his own back!
Morning all. No idea what’s going to happen with finishing the season. I read one article and it fills me with optimism, read next one and it’s the opposite. All we can go on is authorities for now are determined to finish it
A. Clarke, Sheridan, N.Martyn....from the last fifty years. Just to be a bit different because there are a lot of players already chosen, who I admired as well.
I've seen something similar with different numbers so I will answer yes I can make 24, as long as I can use fractions in the calculation
