I've met Paul a few times, he's a decent bloke. I've also met Matt Wrack, he presented me with my twenty-five-year union pin. Paul has very forthright views and presents them very well, regardless if you agree with him or not. The Union took umbrage with Paul's pro-leave stance on Brexit and suspended him for speaking at a rally held in Parliament Sq. They also fined him, which he refuses to pay. The feud is still ongoing.
The Union hasn't come out of this looking too good as they made up some retrospective rules and tried to pass them off as previously existing. Paul exposed this and despite calling out Matt Wrack publically, Wrack has buried his head in the sand and hasn't made any comments on the situation.

Totally as I see it mate. Really glad to hear your views on Paul and that in your opinion he is ‘decent’. I’ve conversed with him a few times in twitter and seen many of his interviews. He always comes across as a very level headed and intelligent fella, and argues his case extremely well......I really like him a lot.

It wasn't just a vote against NHS pay rises was it?
It's a bit more involved than is being portrayed I believe.
Was it not a vote against all public services having their pay cap removed, thus allowing huge pay increases for managers and executives etc?

I do, though, totally agree that nurses and care workers etc are terribly under paid.

Fair one Col I think you’d agree governments haven’t appreciated them enough and the lot who have been in power for the last decade have been very bad. We wont see eye to eye politically but respect for that some people will just spin it on Labour and blame the opposing party ignoring fault in their own.

    Yes I do agree.
I just think this whole "clapping against the NHS" thing is a mis-representation to a certain extent.

Breaking: Shadow chancellor tells SkyNews she anticipates disciplinary action may take place following an investigation into leaked Antisemitism dossier.

    I wonder what that’s about?

Opposition to Jeremy Corbyn 'hindered' anti-Semitism action, claims report
The organisation's chief executive, Gideon Falter, said: "In the dying days of Jeremy Corbyn's leadership, the Labour Party appears to have invested in a desperate last-ditch attempt to deflect and discredit allegations of anti-Semitism.

It also said Labour was "ill-equipped" and did not act fast enough.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-52271317

I think I need to dig out an old post of mine when I said Labour wasn't doing enough and was ridiculed by our resident experts before they went into meltdown and disappeared.
It would appear that the young reporter I mentioned was spot on.

At least the Labour reports come out right? So things can change for the better. The more corrupt would suppress reports <whistle>

No surprise that Starmer has taken on a poison chalice. Has he got the strength of character and personality to make a success of it? Jury's out

You could feel the eyes of the electorate glaze over at this latest installment of Labour's civil war. There are two parties in there. Time for a split imo

I think a lot of the Far Left are going to George Galloways ‘Workers Party of Britain’.....or so I’m led to believe.

I know it's been said before, and will be said again, but I really miss Brexit being top of the to do list.
