It's better when you chat about it other than just spamming videos and that was my intention. I used to chat with Foredeckdave on the Liverpool thread until he passed away a few years back. I love finding new music and I've taken quite a few tracks from people's lists.

    Just spammed 3 videos <laugh>

But yeh I agree. There's a few tracks I've gone away and listened to from this thread alone.

Know what you mean. We were having a WhatsApp chat the other day about a lockdown playlist. Someone suggested Puddle of Mudd’s “She Hates Me” and someone else commented that their cover of “Gimme Shelter” is good. I’d never heard it before. It’s really very good.

But there will be one of two tracks on each playlist that may surprise you or that you haven't heard before and that's what I like.
Even mainstream can be good at times.

I'm reading the Beastie Boys Book at the moment now there's a band that will surprise you, some utter nonsense followed by some brilliant stuff.

There are far more people on here that are into alternative or "not mainstream" music than you give credit tbf.

I'm less so I'll admit that, but if I think someone has a similar taste in some of the songs I recognise then I'll go and check out the alternative/non-mainstream stuff they've posted.

If there was one track from my list I'd urge people to give a try if they hadn't heard it, it would be Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen. Simply brilliant.
