The way he rips into celebs at the various awards shows is brilliant, basically **** you all and climb out of your own asses.
I don't normally watch series as find them a bit tiresome - some good ideas initially, stretched out too long until boredom kicks in and then the writers mangle an ending. My daughter insisted I watched 3 series of Ozark with her during isolation and I haven't changed my mind. As usual, would have made an OK film, but instead an unnecessary 30 hour marathon. OK acting, but not personally for me.
What about all the Scandi Noir stuff, The Bridge, Bordertown etc, are they at all realistic as to life in that part of the world? if you’ve watched any of them of course.
How was Bordertown? Edit: I'mma be annoying and call out that a Finnish show can't be Scandi noir btw
I saw the bridge and liked it initially, then by the last series, the reliance on the lead actress's asbergers as a plot hole filler got tedious. I haven't seen Bordertown. I've been out here long enough that it's hard to generalise things as scandi now - a Swede from near Umeå can be quite different from a Dane from Copenhagen, for example, like comparing a Welsh farmer to a Londoner. In hindsight, I shouldn't have commented on this thread as the series format isn't for me personally.
I'm into the second season of both Narcos, story of Escobar in Columbia & Narcos Mexico. A really good watch, I wasn't sure when I started watching whether I would enjoy it, but being based on fact really makes it compelling viewing.
I’ve just watched the first and second series over the last few days. ****ing hell Simon Grayson how did he ever get a job as a manager. No better than a Sunday league manager. Coleman looked like he didn’t give a ****. Absolutely clueless
watching the Gascoigne documentary. Always makes me sad seeing gazza. I knew his mate died and he saw it when he was a kid but to hear him describe it,****ing hell the poor bastard.
She was also a baddie in Ready Player One, a Bounty Hunter in Killjoys (shockingly bad acting/production, but I watched it anyway), in Star Wars and Game of Thrones amongst others.
