A 25 minute special from sky news Australia. Rather scathing on China.

Bit harsh on the fella, giving away a third of your wealth is a magnificent gesture, however well off you are.

True. If gave a third of my fortune, I'd have £500 left and as of yesterday I'm on furlough. Hopefully for a minimum three weeks, but the word at our place is it's likely to be for three months.

At any other time I'd be doing the ****ing River dance with such news, but now for the first time, in 21 years I fear for my job.

Honestly I'm not whinging, there are so many people in a worse position than me, but all the same, I'm a worried man.

Clap your hands for the NHS, the key workers of all descriptions.

I know how you feel Kempton. Job worries can be fecking soul destroying. Been there and got the t-shirt.
Don't wish to sound patronising, but hang on in there.
With any luck you might be back sooner than expected.

Well done South Hunsley College 6th form Director & tech team, "Tech department continue making visors today to support our NHS Heroes. If any local pharmacies or Doctors surgery need any then please do get in touch." With the continued reported shortage of protective equipment, if the College can knock these out, you'd think that the might of business brains could do so.

Tens of thousands of people have been making these up and down the country for the last few weeks, from home hobbyists to business.

I helped my local GP source a load in the first week of the lockdown and the movement has completely blown up since.

Sorry to read that Kempton. There's usually always someone worse than ourselves, in every situation, still does not mean that our own worries are somehow not valid.

Really hope it works out best for you.

    A Warning!

On Monday night I began to feel very ill, got worse on Tuesday and, via a telephone diagnosis with a GP, learned I had contracted Norovirus/Winter Vomiting Virus. I've been very careful washing my hands after touching anything that came into the house, but not careful enough, obviously. I'm talking about mail, online grocery delivery, Amazon packages.

I began to slowly recover yesterday and am even better today (but it's left me exhausted, with difficulty getting up off a chair).

The point I want to make is that I feel I have just 'dodged a bullet', because it might have been COVID-19

WASH THOSE HANDS - CAREFULLY & REGULARLY!!!

Daft as it sounds Stan, I'm pleased for you that you 'only' had Norovirus.

Keep washing those hands and social distancing everyone.

I think we should all be aware of the possible life of the virus on different surfaces. So what if you become OCD about cleaning stuff, I suspect millions will be doing it for a long time to come. If it keeps you safe no matter what virus, then do it.. As the erudite Mr Shackleton says, I'm glad you had the lesser of two evils...

Interesting vid... shocking that states in America who have been blamed for not having stock piles of medical supplies by their own government are now having to bid against their own government when trying to buy those medical supplies!!!

That's the way it works in the US. States are treated as almost small independent nations. Unless it involves the federal government it's a scrap.

Yep. It doesn’t stop there. French ministers were moaning the other day, they’d finally sourced and bought 2.5m bits of PPE gear from China. The plane was on its way and stopped in Thailand. In Thailand the PPE was taken off the plane and sent to a private company in America instead. The French didn’t have any chance to improve their offer, the Chinese were evidently too interested in philanthropy and saving the world.

This is the problem every country is facing. Our government is getting slammed about PPE, but it’s a global problem. Nobody has enough anywhere in the world and individuals, hospitals, companies and governments in every country in the world are trying to buy it.

Enjoying my brief interlude of freheit today and disappointingly social distancing was not being observed n some parts of this great city.

It seems some groups are not on trend.

A gaggle of hardcore social drinkers/druggies at West Park gates in their own mad arguing bubble, a small group of former Eastern bloc males outside a beer off down Coltman st and a gaggle of Asian/Middle Eastern males walking on Anlaby Rd flyover.

Don't think any of these are refuseniks, just folk who are hard to reach for whatever reason.

    The old Pareto rules apply.

It's difficult to judge these groups on an even keel without knowing the ethnicity of the social drinkers/druggies.
