Rather stick with the tried and tested method, then maybe drop Jonas when Santon is back and had 2-3 games. (See how he does and see how Jonas does when he can be more attacking).

This is brilliant isnt it? We have 6 good players vying for 4 starting spots and we cant really go wrong whoever we pick. Remember last season when we had no options and the team picked itself every single time?

would like us to sign a striker,Pieters and a CB in Jan and I think we'll be in good shape also take into account the ACN when we'll lose tiote and Ba

yep it means everyone has to be on the ball or they get dropped, something we've lacked competition for places

January will be tough. Aside from potential sales/purchases, Guthrie/Gosling and Best will need to fill the void left by those two.

The ACN is the only bad news we have right now.

This, 100%...yesterday he looked sharp and dangerous but clearly too eager to impress and get a goal - could've passed a few times as oposed to running with the ball and until he EARNS his spot (plays too well not to start him) then don't change what ain't broke!

Midfield/ Attacker Rotation ..depending on the opposition, form etc. But Ben Arfa has to earn and keep his place, plus that allows a nice steady introduction for him. (the selfish-ness yesterday was due to us cruising, knocking the ball about, his first run out etc and kinda understandable in the circumstances)

But if Pardew ever gets that strange re-occurring urge that all NUFC managers seem to have, and decides to play shola ..Drop him for Ben Arfa instantly.

I'm a big believer in rewarding good performances with a start. Everyone see's that if they get and chance and take they will be considered.

Would keep both Ba and Best on v Wolves.

I don't think we have a best starting XI. Each game is different and requires different formations/personnel.

From nowhere we have squad depth. Still vulnerable if we get injuries at the back or upfront

think it could be Cabaye doing the Tiote role with Arfa given the freedom

    Midfield of

    Ober, Cabaye, Arfa, Jonas/Marv

Can't believe people are saying we should drop Jonas over Obertan... Jonas has been a consistent performer both attacking and defensive for a few seasons now. Obertan has had 1 or 2 good games.

probably just cant help but feel this would leave us short in midfeild cant see benny being to happy to sit back and orchestrate moves instead of being in the thick of play upfront
we'de be mighty attacking but may strugle defensivly being outnumbered in the midfeild much like at qpr

I'd stick to the formation and subs we made yesterday. If we can get Ba and Best to work together like they did yesterday then a top 10 finish is in place!

I wouldn't mind seeing Marv come on earlier though to make a bit more of an impact, although the wingers were playing very well yesterday.

Personally, I would drop Best, as and when Ben Arfa has earned his place in the side. For some reason, Best just doesn't do it for me. Although his record in the PL is great, I just can't help but think he's not good enough. Seems to miss more chances than he takes and when he does take them, it's normally scuffed shots or rebounds. The amount of chances he had yesterday, and he always just lashed at them. He just doesn't seem composed enough to be a number one striker for us.

Add to that, I think Ben Arfa playing as a number 10 (in the hole) with Jonas and Obertan outside and Ba at the top would be more dangerous. With Best on the bench, he could come on and relieve Ba and his dodgy knee, towards the latter stages of games.

To be honest I very much disagree, yesterday I felt Best missed most of his chances cause we were cruising at the time and it looked like he was going for more of a screamer than just trying to score so it doesn't bother me how he shoots when we're 3-1 up. As long as he bags them when we need them.
