Eastcote scully, which I discovered from our posters is the centre of the Universe.

The pub all the men in my family would go to every Sunday morning whilst the women drank sherry and cooked lunch... What an era

Ooh, sorry, mate. Do you have any oil of cloves? I know it’s disgusting, but it’s pretty good.

Trust me, the pain goes away after a while. This time last year I had a sore wisdom tooth - my dentist tried to extract it, but couldn't, so referred me to an NHS surgeon in Aberdeen, telling me there would be around a twelve month waiting list!!
Last October, I had a call from the surgeon's office asking if I still needed treatment - not to offer an appointment, they were trying to reduce the size of their waiting list.
Apparently I still had another 62 weeks to wait. The pain had subsided so I said no - no pain at all now, although I can't/daren't bite on that side.

Try going private, I had a tricky extraction prior to potential implant and was surprised that it only cost £170, and the treatment& customer service was superb. I normally use the NHS though. You might have to wait 50 weeks for the lock down to end though.....

I don't agree with queue jumping if you are able to pay extra The French service does have a mix of public and private health services, but it will not get you treated earlier. I needed a bit of minor surgery here and had the choice of the huge hospital in Poitiers or the private clinic there. I chose the later for various reasons, but because I could afford to do so. It made no difference to the timing, just the surroundings and silly things like being able to park the car and the food they would bring me. It turned out that I paid €50 for the services of the anesthetist, but the state picked up the bill for the rest of it. I do have English friends who really just cannot afford to have a choice, and must take what is on offer. I suppose I might say that I should not have chosen to pay that small amount as my friends cannot afford it, but without the private clinic the system would be short of beds and operating ability.

Not trying to spread gloom here but in the middle ages when towns were declared free of the plague then the church bells would all ring - the town would be out in force celebrating, dancing, and the beauties of the middle ages (such as there were) would be opening their arms to all. Within weeks of the plague disappearing the first syphilis cases were appearing <doh>

Be careful! There has been a peasants revolt in the US and it resulted in Trump.
