Yeah I was pissed when we tried to sign him as a backup striker. Glad he said no! Don’t know what the club were thinking with that one, but then we do have a habit of making some weird transfer decisions.

 

tbh mate vardy is imo just victim to football snobbery... doesnt get enough credit.. id rather go with him .. like you say aubeyang does drift in and out games... not a grafter, less heart.

You can’t use Vardys consecutive goals record and then slag of Ozil who has the consecutive assists record. They’ve both had amazing seasons before. Doesn’t mean there aren’t players more suited to a particular team or that either would get picked for a 5 a side or 11 a side team.

 

Why be back-up for a top 8 contender when you can play as the main striker for a club in the Champions League? ...

Can't be arsed mate ... but Vardy, Barnes, Maddison, Ndidi, Pereira and Soyuncu would all come into consideration ... Tielemans would have on last season form but has been a bit hit and miss ... as has Chilwell.

Unless you are gonna base it completely on Pool and Citeh players, only a knob jockey would completely ignore the clearly third best team
