The intention might be well meaning... I've no complaint with that. But preparing takeaway food involves other people handling the ingredients, the cooked food, the packaging and then delivering it. Just transfer money if you want to help people out.
Son will commence his military training later this month and return to the club in May. Good to get it out of the way while there's no likelyhood of any games.
Now that Liverpool have backtracked on the furlough of non playing staff, do you think that might put pressure on Levy to do the same?
And respect to him for doing so. But I still think takeaway food is not the best gesture at this time.
Well that is why I phrased it do you think it will increase the pressure on him rather than him backtracking...
No. Have emailed the club to register a complaint but that's probably the the most pointless waste of time ever...but in these times ... so what...? Ain't like I got anything better to do! Have also decided that if they do not reverse the decision that we will cancel all 5 of our memberships in the family and buy nothing from the club and stop going to games. Will be really gutting cos my girls have been members for 15 years but I personally am sickened by the cruelty of it.
Fair play to ya mate, it's sad but it's a stark reminder of just how far the game's gone. I'll have a decision to make if/when we follow suit. Actually if we don't top up the 20% it won't even be a decision.
They still have to eat. They probably don't have time to prepare food so if he didn't send a takeaway they would likely arrange their own.
Social contact is the issue. Food prepared by someone else which then passes through the hands (coughs, sneezes etc) of others should really be taboo at this time, however well intentioned the sentiment is.
I know what was meant, just saying if people are working double shifts and more they will likely order delivered food. If ordered from one mainstream provider, then maybe it is safer.
You never worked in a pizza restaurant then Luke. Even if you chorned all over it, the time it came out the other end of a pizza oven it would be safe to eat, trust me.
