I see there is a big push to make sure folk don't go out over the Easter weekend. Personally I feel anyone that does go out, unless it was for a good reason, need their heads testing. In fact, I always made a point, even when the children were young not to venture out on an Easter weekend, as you would invariably be stuck in a traffic jam somewhere and when you did get to your destination the place was a mob scene.,

This country used to be full of accountants, now it's medical experts.
Too many cooks confusing the issue.
    Just an observation. Like.

Armchair prime ministers, virologists, epidemiologists, police chiefs, manufacturing experts, logistical experts.

Usually all in the same person.

Kids tests came back negative. Looks like they just have a cold which I was pretty sure was the case.

Had to be sure to allow me to get back to work and hopefully we'll be getting plenty more bodies back.

I will say the test is not the most pleasant experience for the kids, or the parent trying to holding their head still.

watford A&E saying no more please. they are full.

how long before people are travelling miles just to find a hospital thats able to cope?

tbh our health service was sadly ill equipped before the crisis and couldnt cope with the normal amount of ill people.

i think after this is over politicians should be hung in the streets for allowing this to happen. and we should be hung too for tolerating it.

as john cooper clarke once said
    bring back hanging,
    for everyone.

Less positive tests and less deaths than anticipated today, it could just be a blip, but it could be that the measures are starting to take effect.

Just the kids. They were first to present symptoms so I suppose it would just be assumed I had it too if they were positive. Though doubt that would then be reflected it the figures.

I thought it was more to do with them running low on oxygen supplies? Some of these ventilators don't half go through the stuff.

I mean, it's not like this stuff comes out of thin air...:emoticon-0112-wonde

Watford A&E has shut, but they haven’t said why, it might well be coronavirus related, but it could be another reason.

No health service in the world is set up to cope with something like this, it’s the first time it’s happened for 100 years.

A five year old was among those to die in the last twenty four hours. Heartbreaking.

To be announced dead in the last 24 hours. He might have died 3 weeks ago.

    But terrible indeed.

    underlying health issues.

just read that the w.h.o. (good old rog) estimates that between 290k and 650 k die every year of normal flu. (not a very specific guess?)
    mortality rate of 0.1%

experts say the covid 19 is 10 times as dangerous as normal flu.
but i didnt realise how big a killer normal flu was. i should be on flu jabs but shrug them off saying i'm not bothered, ill be ok etc

flu jabs for me next winter

thats if im still around and also if there's anyone left to shove a prick into me.
