    Recoveries rising steadily: 202, 826.

Can I just say again in light of various comments (especially the one from the snidey saints fan who, ironically, has history of gratuitously bringing up Hillsborough seemingly forgetting that those poor souls also lost their lives in horrific circumstances) that on my part I'm not disrespecting those who have very sadly lost their lives (may they Rest In Peace) by talking about football.

I am doing everything I can to help stop the spread of the virus by staying at home, not having any visitors and even succumbed to shopping online for extra safety. The dog is being walked around the garden three times a day even though we are allowed to go for a walk outside. I am keeping in contact with elderly neighbours whose shopping is added onto ours and paid for by us so no money exchanges hands. The neighbourhood has set up a WhatsApp group to check on each other with offers of contactless sharing of extra items we each may have and sharing of contact numbers for local shops who are delivering fresh bread etc.

I really am trying hard to do everything I can with regard to keeping myself, family and others safe. I've had the extra personal worries of a granddaughter having a heart operation and a son, as you all know is a doctor in a hospital in the North East, working with no PPE and no testing. So is it really wrong that in order to look after my own mental health which is fragile at the best of times, to engage in discussion about football no matter how inane that discussion may be?

I'm sorry for the totally self indulgent rant but I don't think I can bear an extra burden of guilt on top of everything else.

take care JB. It sounds like your local community are great though, hope that helps pull you through.

Keep chatting about the footie if it helps. I would recommend watching some of the classic matches that klopp has put you through would probably make you feel better.

No mate it isn’t in any way wrong, we’ve all got time to kill if nothing else, we can discuss football whilst understanding its place in the grand scheme of things at present. Anyone who suggests otherwise is pushing an agenda and being disingenuous imho.

So don’t in any way feel guilty for shooting the breeze about footie ffs.

As I said I'm sorry for the moment of self indulgence and contrary to what that post may look like, I'm someone who hates people feeling sorry for me. I'm no worse off than anyone else, in fact better than a lot but I have terrible struggles with my mental health and really don't want to come across as flippant regarding the current crisis when that is far from true.

JB we all will get through this in different ways all that matters is
    a) we get through it
    b) we don't act like twats whilst doing a)

Tbf nearly all on the forum have been fine but obviously lots of us for our own reasons are a bit twitchy atm .

PS anyway it's our board so where better to let off some steam but among mates <hug>

Bill Withers and Sam Cooke are two of my all time favourite singers. Sam passed a long time ago, far too soon and now Bill. So sad that both are no longer with us. RIP <rose><rose> My music diet growing up was Soul and R&B.

At least these artists leave us with their work when they go. It's never too long between Bill Withers songs on Foredeckdaves music thread <ok>

My daughters and I had a WhatsApp group sob when we found out. He reminded the three of us about each other when they were young girls growing up. Top man, Did what he wanted to do and then just waked away to be with his family in 1985.

I'm trying to put my brain power into something positive and uplifting at the moment. I've got neither the will nor the mental fortitude to discuss the current situation, especially the latest 'f' word. <grr>

I am still working on my paperwork as I work from home anyway, but I miss not getting out and about as that is what attracted me to my job in the first place. I am reading a hell of a lot to relieve the boredom of being in all the time. The Mrs is doing all the gardening for the same reason. She does struggle with some of the heavier work, but I give her as much encouragement as I can.
