This is Olivia Chaney, the other part of the Offa Rex collaboration with an absolutely stunning performance of two songs from her album, Shelter.

How has this only got just over 3,600 views?

With all that's going on across the world, and within our own lives, we will surely be forgiven for feeling bewildered. I know I am feeling fearful, strangely resigned to what might await us all, but also hopeful there might be a better way to live in the future, with a brighter and more meaningful life, and skies that are more blue.

At time like these music gets us through many things, even when we are feeling comfortably numb .....

Maybe not quite appropriate with it being Sunday, especially with the church bells around here falling silent.....but it's never a bad time to have a heavy metal thrash around the house, so do play this as loud as your neighbours will put up with. A heavy dose of alcohol, or whatever your 'lift me up and take me away' preference is, is thoroughly recommended.

LSD or Magic Mushrooms is definitely not good with this one. Been there and done it and it did not go very well at all.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you over 14 minutes with the one and only Black Sabbath .....

No matter what he is singing about, the sound of J Mascis' guitar never fails to lift me...

If we are talking guitar music SA, then this one is an absolute boomer. One of the best tracks John Mayall and Walter Trout ever created together. Walter Trout is one of the great guitar magicians of all time but has never been as popular as he deserves to be. An appropriate title in these times.

    One Life To Live .....

I'd not heard of their alter-egos, I'll have to see if they have anything on Spotify. Seems alright though, similar sound to the Decemberists.

Funnily enough when I was younger for some strange reason I used to think the Decemberists were hipster music listened to people with bushy beards who owned Macbooks and hung out in trendy coffee bars in Shoreditch... Now I own two of their albums! Funny how things turn out. And it all started from a single advert on Spotify...

Also considering buying Enya's Greatest Hits...

If I looked back through this music thread I'd probably find Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer posted about 3 or 4 times. So here is the other Sledgehammer by Bachman, Turner Overdrive. Play Very Loud:
