Ok, but they agreed pretty quickly. Point is that prem players could be more pro-active, especially when many in lower paid jobs are voluntarily taking cuts or being laid off.

 

The theory, at least the one in The Grauniad, is players are being encouraged to be proactive in taking wage cuts to force the PFA's hand, as they're holding it up with their negotiating strategy of saying "Umm" and saying "Ahh"

 

Maybe ask the England & France captains to set the example
