Here's another "League Table". We're still just outside the promotion slots, but far from relegation, unless you invert the table.
Not meant to be a flippant comment, just the reporting is different depending on the sources !

The other element to factor in, is the increase in deaths from other causes, that are a consequence of the stretched healthcare system.

    https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/this-is-very-important-from-italy-please-read

Nembro, in the province of Bergamo, is the town most hard hit in per capita terms by COVID-19. Currently the town has 31 deaths attributed to COVID-19. But when the two authors looked at the total number of deaths registered in the town in January, February and March and compared it to the average for that period in previous years they found the number was dramatically larger. 158 deaths have been registered in the town during that period this year compared to an average of 35 in previous years.

The math is simple: the average of 35 plus the 31 COVID-19 deaths gets you to 66. But the town has recorded almost 100 more deaths on top of that. As the authors say, “The difference is enormous and cannot be a simple statistical deviation.”

For me, the number of cases is totally irrelevant. Depends on testing policies, etc.
The only barometer sadly is the number of deaths. In the uk (though maybe not with other countries), authorities have to get the consent from family to record the death, so could be a few days before a death is recorded.
We did have lowest number for a while yesterday and then suddenly the largest today. Apparently they are changing the actual time of reporting somyesterday's low figure was wrong(was a figure for just an 8hr period)
So today's highest figure included presumably 2/3 rds of yesterday's figure.
See how ot settles down over the next few days.

There is some suggestion that the German ventilation system is via blood removal and aeration outside the body return to patient and keep cycling, apparently improving red blood cell oxygen uptake. Also, reporting cause of death...any concomittent underlying condition and the patient death is being recorded as due to that. Cannot verify either of these reasons.

There's some reasonable logic to both of those suggestions. Firstly, if the lungs are already damaged (weakened), oxygen absorption may be depleted, creating a viscious circle within the internal recycling. Secondly, additional underlying health issues will normally weaken a bodies' natural immunity/ability to fight additional/secondary ailments. The combination of the two situations in Germany may explain some of the statistics ? Like yourself, pure speculation on my part ?

If you left your shed for break up sex would that count as your one form of exercise for the day?

You could enjoy a second bout that same day providing it was in a supermarket or a chemists shop, if I'm reading the guidelines correctly. So long as you don't cross a county border of course :emoticon-0100-smile

Is that bit about family consent to record the death correct? seems to be some doubts about it.

It's not true, there was a change in the reporting time, which resulted in the actual number being released later, but it was a one-off.

Didn't they have a deal to supply Wren with worktops which encouraged them to expand the business and then got dropped by Wren.
