They’ve just closed every McDonalds in Britain until further notice.

I don’t really eat the stuff, but that is a massive sign of a bigger force at work. That’s an outrageous amount of revenue sacrificed, that’s a decision taken for a reason.

We are about to hear something big I reckon.

Not even that mate. Total shutdown.

There’s talk now that the droplets travel up to 10 metres and remain airborne for up to 4 minutes. The risk of infection if that is correct is so far off the scale it’s terrifying.

    That's bloody scary.

The problem with this disease is that there are so many unknowns that the government regulations are going to change constantly.

NHS doctors and nurses sharing stories saying ‘do not go out’, if they are holding back to prevent panic, I understand, but it’s coming out now anyway. Let’s get this sorted.

Folk need off the streets, off public transport, the infection rate in New York shows how quickly it can affect densely populated areas.

If you haven’t seen, 8,000 cases. First report in New York was 6 days ago. If that doesn’t frighten you you are probably already dead.

    A massive decision ...

... yet the reporting of it will be seen as media sensationalism.

I’m the opposite. I haven’t shopped in a week bar day to day and I really should.

I’d be ****ed if we locked down right now <laugh>

I really hope he's taken on board what you've said. We don't want any unnecessary early retirements to the sky.

He’s a stubborn twat but I think my clear concern, him knowing that I usually just glide through without concerns, is making him read up and take a bit of notice.

He’s a moron for it but he’s my dad. He needs to get a grip.

It's cognitive dissonance. Some people decided that it wasn't a big deal at the beginning. They don't want to change their mind (on a subconscious level) as it will damage their ego or their view on life, so they've decided that all coverage that suggests it's worse than they thought (even if backed up by science) is sensationalism. And unfortunately, the worse things get, the more outraged these people will get because they'll convince themselves that people are ridiculously over reacting, because they can't reconcile their own belief with what they're seeing.

I put my Apple Music on shuffle 5 days back and haven’t closed the app.

There’s 11,000 tracks in there and I’m not skipping even the ones I don’t fancy. It’s an amazing way to fill time.

Im still working at the minute and will continue to do so, but when the time comes, you can’t be bored with music playing.

Its a simple solution but it works for me.

    OK I
I hate wasting loads of time and effort with all that ...

... no matter what the situation I react in the same way.

If I'm proven wrong I instantly hold my hands up and say I've ****ed up.

In my experience decent people respect that.

    Rights mate.

If you’re wrong, you’re learning. There’s always a positive in that.

I have music on all the time and don't really understand people who don't ...

... played some Kenny Rogers off Spotify through my B&O A9 as the sun went down.

Mrs Smug asked who I thought would be next ...

... I dread to think tbh.

I’m the same mate. Music is everything.

I’ll sit watching TV with one ear in, like you say, I can’t get my head round folk who ‘aren’t that bothered’.

    Music is soul.

Mind, there’s been some truly horrific tracks in this 5 day shuffle <laugh>

One of my favourite things I ever heard said ‘there’s no bad music, there’s just music you like, and music someone else likes’.

    Amazing.

I got Spotify a few months ago after a long period of not really knowing what it was or that it was free, there's something to be said for something that will play the types of music you like but not necessarily the specific old favourite tracks. Sometimes it reminds me of a band I'd forgotten existed and it'll often get me looking into a new artist that I'd likely never have come across otherwise.

    Good stuff.
