An ew speculation on Poormans Hill @ 22/1 first 4 places for me. The negatives are that it's his first run of the season and the claimer's win record hardly breeds too much confidence. However my understanding of the track is that it's unique and a bit of a rollercoaster ride. So previous course form is handy and PH is 3 from 3 at the track. He also won this in 2018.

After today, I haven't a clue. It's All (bloody) Guesswork

I had the winner in the first today so I'll just go for the first tomorrow when it's All About Joe; Haven't got time to think about the forecast because I'm So Busy

    Morning

The Hunter Chase [4.10] looks a good race with the top 3 in the betting all looking solid

But will go for a bigger priced one each way @ 8-1 [Bet 365]

This horse seems to be flourishing after a recent move from O'Brien to Cromwell and can enhance the latters recent excellent run of form.

I like General Principle in the big race but the betting vibes are not good and when one trainer has so many entrants you can almost certainly put a line through their drifters, can you not?

The favourite in the bumper looks useful but it could be a race for picking an outsider an going for extra places.
I like the pedigree of THE BANGER DOYLE who is a 66/1 shot.

For me it will be the probable favourite for the Mullins yard. Won the trial to this and is Mullins only runner in the race unlike Elliott who has 6.

Out Sam ran a good race at Cheltenham in the x-country,, kept out the back for the
majority and making a couple of mistakes on the way round.

only being beaten by easesland and Tiger Roll.

I have gone with Out Sam 12/1 e.w 4 places. The cod father on board. He ran well in this race previously and as long as Cheltenham hasn't left it's mark too much could run well today..Downpatrick is quite a unique track and maybe the banks/ cheese wedges of Cheltenham have provided some decent match practice.

    Good luck all. :emoticon-0167-beer:

If Jimmil turns up in the same form that saw him easily beat the most progressive horse in Ireland in last week in Treacysenniscorthy, then he should canter around this field even with the 14lb hike from that. That said, it's never as straight forward and on the roller coaster at Downpatrick, anything can often happen.

I've stuck with Jimmil at 5/1 myself as a case can be made for multiple horses but his recent from is a cut above the rests. Can he back it up is another thing...

Unable to back that run up and the big hike deserved. Cromwell fiddled for the wrong race.
