So is Matt Southall lying when he says the two men Nimer brought to the meeting have been appointed by Nimer to the board of CAFC?

Is Matt Southall lying when he says these two men have not passed any EFL checks for fitness to be directors?
Do such checks even exist?

This whole business is an absolute disgrace.
Southall and Nimer are both behaving in a totally unacceptable manner.
One has shown himself to be a greedy spiv, the other is acting like a gangster.

They both need to be kicked out by the EFL, who should rule the entire take-over null and void.

the plan from Day One was to come in & strip the club. Only Southall got too greedy, too soon. See if they make the wages next week...

 

The whole Nimer Vs Southall thing is starting to look a bit stage managed to me.

Nimer seems to be using the Coronavirus issue as an excuse now for not fronting up at SE7.

I would put the odds on him EVER purchasing the freeholds at around 100/1.

 

He has no money, unless he can get his boss involved... 1,000/1 to put in ANY sizable money.

 

As early as the 11th January you could smell a rat.

Southall was quoted as saying they did not own The Valley and Sparrows Lane in a meeting with the Trust. On their announcement of take over 8 or 9 days earlier Southall/ESI said they owned the whole lot!

 

It seems that Nimer didn’t respond to Southall’s provocation with his trademark Instagram rant last night. But who on earth would lend this clown £50m ?

There seems to be a suggestion that clubs are getting a Coronavirus compensation payment from the EFL.

Hopefully that will see the wage bill at Charlton being met.

 

The Burton Albion chairman is on the radio now. Clubs received a payment of £250,000 into their bank accounts yesterday.

That includes an advance on future central payments.

Total farce at Charlton. Nimer doesn't seem to have a clue about anything and Southall seems to be determined to leech even more out of the club if he can. This would include trousering whatever he can out of any coronavirus payment.

 

Nimer is behaving like a guy who is used to getting his own way by using crass tactics that might work out there in the Middle East (particularly in business between like-minded people, rather than those with a US / European business mindset).

It feels as though Nimer has no qualms about crossing the line into stuff like bullying and intimidation of his enemies. This has apparently earned him a cult following among some people who also don't see much wrong with those tactics.
To a few, Nimer's ugly tactics make him appear to be a strong man.

I can't see such methods impressing the EFL though.
My main hope now is that they will step in strongly at some point and send Nimer packing.
Then dump us back onto the Belgian.
