It's a double negative (bad journalism). There is a press conference with the education secretary at 5pm. It's happening!
I should have read properly. I really hope so, I'm off in self isolation and feel bad for the extra work my colleagues are doing
Cheers. Have a nasty cough and get out of breath but luckily no fever so have something but if it is corona virus then it's mild.
Exactly the same as me at the minute, except that I seem to have mild sneezing and sniffles. No idea if I have a temp as I can't find a ****ing thermometer, but if I do then it will be mild. I've been self isolating since Monday and bored already!!
he reckons he’s brought us the brilliant inside scoop on a France style lockdown as of this weekend and is mardy because we’re not telling him how wonderful he is.
I genuinely wasn't taking the piss (that much anyway). I really didn't understand what he was talking about. I think he was preaching to 'thurs that already nurs' Needs more explanation!
Well I can honestly say I'm appreciably less happy than i was earlier in the day. Of course I have already taken it on the chin and am very aware that whatever happens next I'm incredibly lucky to not have an ounce of the issues some others have. I will have a job at the end of this, there will be food on the table and my children are going to be fine. I just liked teaching that's all, and i liked my children being taught by competent teachers for their age bracket (not me!) and I'm going to get very tired, very quickly of looking after a 3, 6 and 8 year-old by myself (my wife is a consultant and is off her feet at the moment, so totally AWOL from home life) whilst also setting and marking work for my classes (which we are set up to do for an hour or so a day) and being portrayed in the media as having a sort of extended holiday. It will grate. A lot.
