Cancel and void the season if it can't be finished.

If we give Liverpool the title we have to respect all current league standings which is unfair. Aston villa are 2 points of safety with a game in hand, arsenal are 3 points off 6th with a game in hand.

I understand that Liverpool are 99.9% likely to win the league but sport is about absolutes not probability. Any how if the league is cancelled Liverpool fans and the rest of us would know they won the league so they have an unofficial title that will probably be the most remrmberd

Turns out it's about the integrity of the PL, not Liverpool Football Club.

Coronavirus: Finishing season must top Premier League agenda, says Phil Thompson

"A lot of people would quite enjoy the season not be completed, but certainly not Liverpool fans, myself included," he told Sky Sports News. "But there are more important things than it, notably the integrity of the English league and Premier League.

"[If the season is declared null and void], who gets relegated, who is going to play Champions League football next season? There are so many problems to sort out and the best way to deal with them is to come up with a formula of how to complete the season, however long it takes.

"I would like to think at the very top of the agenda [at Thursday's meeting] are the words, 'we need to get the league finished', and clubs were told to come with ideas [how to do that].

When asked why he didn't feel so strongly about the integrity of the FA Cup and European club competitions Thompson replied "We're not in da fooking FA fooking Cup, are we ya fooking divvy and dem fooking dago cheats fooing robbed us in the Champions League on what should have been a magical European night at da cateeeeeeeedral. Fook da cups, just get da fooking leeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaague done."

And where's that **** Tomkins these days? He'll come out like a wet fart any day now.

Off till April 30th now.

leaves 2 months max to get the games done then, can’t see it happening.

Even behind closed doors, that would count as a large gathering wouldn’t it? Must be about 50 people there for a game when you include players, subs, manager, coaches, refs, physios, ambulance crew?

Liverpool will be pushing to get two games in ASAP, if they win both they can call the league finished for the season.

There’s about 80 games in total outstanding (approx)

I dont see the point in risking a whole new season because of this one. What about pre season training? The rest period between seasons?

scrap it

let’s start again

Can Liverpool not just be given an almost won the Prem trophy, that'd do surely? <whistle>

In 1962/63 there were 261 postponements before Everton won it

This season we've had 13 postponements [HASHTAG]#justsaying[/HASHTAG]
