    Oh, and by the way.

Will us members be getting a refund from the club for the games that are not being played?

Will there be an admin fee for this?

It's weird how few we've taken to Goodison? It's a proper old ground with a pretty good atmosphere, good stewards who were happy to let you stand - the Dec 2014 night fixture I think we took barely 500, it was a cracking atmosphere all the same.

Not losing any sleep about the money, but the club is very greedy and quick to slap on charges for any kind of financial interaction.

Trust they will reciprocate now the boot is on the other foot.

Goodison Park for away fans is a ****ing dump of the highest order, and be just getting there means negotiating Dog **** Lane! We were there for that night match, and it was indeed the best away atmosphere all season.

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

Give me Goodison every time over the Emirates or WHU new ground.

Simply no comparison. It;s not all about sight lines or craft beer near ground.

Probably because the club ran a free trip to Goodison previously to that one and the ground tickers had already been. I know because they asked me to steward one and our bus took a wrong turning onto a one way system and we ended up going the full length of the Mersey tunnel, turning around at the other end and coming straight through it again. 'My' bus was number 18 and we weren't the last one.

    Those where the days.

Going back to the KC free for all. Remember one gobby type in front of me and our small group openly bragging about how he had ‘always loved football’ but it was his first season. Apparently he was going to get 24 other tickets for his mates who were obviously not prepared to queue like the majority where at the time. A polite word in his ear and a bit of good advice was given and said youth was suddenly several places behind with the look of ‘what the **** did I say’ look on his smock.

Cancelling Away Direct was definitely a mistake, but it was a tiny amount of people, cancelling priority tickets for those with a history of doing away games was a far bigger mistake.

    I
took a wrong turning on the way to the Vetch once, as it was nearing kick off the I turned the car around and drove back to the right road. A bit further along a traffic light turned to red, and the slack bladder passengers decamped for a pish. The lights turned to green, and I had to go forward slowly while they caught up with the car!

There was some talk of having 'millionaires' screened off private boxes with a Michelin starred restaurant behind serving a pre match dinner etc, so I imagine the 'upscaling' of the fans was part of a badly formulated economic plan, along with other clubs at the time.

For me, Leicester away that season, was when I knew it was going to happen. I'd had a planes trains and automobiles style journey to get there on time, bumped into the Chants Ave fella for the first time in ca. 15 years in the pub before and then the result and atmosphere was the justification for the journey.

I'd like to think we gave that hapless bumpkin Holloway a big shove towards League 1 that day.

Remember it, header at our end, I think ? Ex-WHU player too. Following season also mid week was when Bullard made his debut and was kicked six foot up into the air by Parker ? We were ****e that night with Matt Duke in goal. Poor bloke looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights as WHU hit the wood work about six times in the first half. Sure they got a penalty too.

Yes, glorious time for the club. Phil Brown's confidence was driving the team forward at that stage and not sure I've ever felt so confident of winning a game, despite being only 1 up at half time. The players were on fire at this stage, but Brown's control was imperial, aside from the irritating loss in Sheffield.
Duke saved the penalty and a few more to keep the score respectable . He was under the cosh most of the game, the whole team had a stinker, not sure the ball spent much time in West Ham's half the entire game. Atmosphere was poor also.. Tired weekday evening after work, wet and dark and the team under siege for the entire 90 mins on the back off a series of losses.

CM , our first trip to Everton in the top league was a Saturday in Jan or Feb '09 . The Sunday game was the following season when , live on Sky , Tom Cairney got our goal . The novelty wore off very quickly .
