I posted what was said by journalists on the BBC on the South Today morning news feature, believing their figures to be right. They actually said 39m and 35 was a drop of 75m. OLM posted 29m and I rushed to defend my logic, but I was wrong I made a mistake and admitted it.
Your support of this bloke is nonsense, this is what Peston says at the end of the article quoted
“None of which is to argue that Johnson, Cummings, Hancock, Whitty and Vallance are wrong. But it does warrant a proper national debate.

Peston is a Political Journalist not medical.

There’s zero scientific credibility in herd immunisation, there’s nothing peer reviewed academically and it has no science backing at all.
If people are suggesting it as a viable means of survival based on science, they’re lying.

Also, herd immunity is usually applied once a vaccination has been applied. There’s a reason people didn’t naturally become resistant to smallpox and polio.

I have an understanding, not a big one, of Jenner’s work, I understand his work to be based predominantly around inoculating. The vaccines came later. Smallpox killed over 70% of children, no herd immunity would ever protect them.

Smallpox was eradicated because of vaccination. It needed 80% of the populous to have been done.

There’s no confirmation that we become immune to this new strain of Corona after catching it making herd immunity even less likely to work than the next to no chance it has anyway.

For confirmation of Jenner’s work & herd immunity I spoke to a leading expert in the field. He’s also convinced our Government’s stance is madness.

If you read that article in isolation, you’d think the UK’s stance was to make sure as many people got it as possible, so they might become immune.

In reality, the UK’s stance is that those with symptoms should self-isolate, to avoid giving it to anyone else.

And it's one stage of the plan, not the plan in it's entirety, plus it it's an all party decision, rather than 'Boris's' as seems to be being claimed.

I'm glad that on this issue they're letting science rather than politics lead. I hope that now becomes the case in some other prominent issues.

Which was exactly what they seemed to be suggesting at first when Boris started talking about it as a good thing.
They’ve backtracked since but the only reason anyone discussed it in the first place was because they suggested it was

What makes you think any plan is an all party decision?

South Korea is now starting to get new cases.

As for Small Pox, it didn’t kill the all the people who brought it over to America in the 17th century. They had developed a resistance to it. The local indigenous people had none. In Europe Small Pox was an ever present, but it slowed down due to natural resistance, not vaccination.

At the end of the article posted, there is a very interesting video.

I only got this far before my thoughts that you’re an idiot were confirmed.

“Herd immunity only works if most people in the population are vaccinated”

So in China they had total lockdown and seem to have got over the worst of it, South Korea carried on pretty much as normal and also seem to be getting less cases of the virus.

    Confused?

This could explain the rush on toilet rolls and the small number of teenage boys infected.

The government is asking Rolls Royce and JCB to transform production lines so they can make ventilators ???? Well if they ever get round to it they will be fast, posh, expensive and if they don,t work will be able to dig your grave.
