Was talking to a few folk earlier and someone said a problem that they could foresee if they closed schools, a lot of parents work and there will be no play schemes open, so then childcare usually falls on grandparents, the most vulnerable group.

Italy cannot stay closed forever and when they eventually lift the ban and say business as usual (if they haven't gone bust) what will they do if it flairs up again? How long can a country sustain being shut up for? I still say we should carry on as normal, if folk are scared or vulnerable let them stay at home and indoors, if you are fearful of catching it at a football match don't go, simple really.

It is a strain of Flu FFS and 85% of those that catch it will show none to mild symptoms

How many of those who died were under 65 or had underlying health issues? 15,000 reported, I bet you can add at least a zero to that figure of unreported. This is a virus that has little effect on the young and healthy, minimal on the middle aged and healthy, all I’m saying is tell the pensioners to stay at home and don’t answer the door.

This isn’t going to go away by going on lock down for a week, a month or even two months. The minute they say business as usual what are they going to do when another case appears?

Its important to watch China and South Korea. Their workforces are going back to work after daily cases have dropped to nearly single figures a day. If there was to be a "bounce" in positive cases it has yet to rear its head. It's still early days though.

Also, I would say that the best way to protect the old and vulnerable would be to try and limit the amount of people who can pass it on to them. Letting this virus have a free ride over the whole population is pretty reckless. It would work, the young and healthy would survive and plenty of the weak would perish even if isolated at home. I'm just not too sure that I'd like my elder family members to be locked away in fear before they died. I'd rather sacrifice a bit and try and save as many as we can.

Anyway, the reason I came on was that Talksport were saying that this season could possibly be frozen and wiped from the record books. I.e Liverpool not getting a title and Leeds/West Brom/Fulham/Brentford not going up. They were pretty certain that this season will not get finished.

But that doesn’t make sense mate, new cases have dropped to nearly single figures and they’re returning to work. It was only 10 days or so ago the UK was new cases in single figures. It’s just as likely that those who were going to get hit bad did and the rest were very mild. If there are still daily new cases it hasn’t gone away, maybe ran it’s course for now?

People aren't traveling around or socialising, they all wear masks and sanitise there hands, only people you see in this country wearing masks is Asians, we have it all to come, by the way, read an artical by an Italian Doctor yesterday, he said the death rate was 20x that of seasonal flu, and there hospitals are full of people in their 30-40s.Boris has made his decision to do nothing, could see us being the worst affected in the world soon, let's hope he's not the man who kills 1-2 million Brits.

China is a country of pollution and smog, heavy smokers and full of ill health citizens, this virus was always going to rip through them. Most the Chinese I see walk around with masks on the majority of the time, long before this virus was discovered.

You’re ignoring the fact they believe there are millions around the world with this virus with such mild symptoms they’re not even aware.

Are you genuinely scared yourself of catching it? If you are do you really need the Government to tell you to stay away from football matches and crowded areas?
