I've just seen that the parts of Europe least effected by coronavirus are Bulgaria 1.0 cases per million, Poland 1.2, Romania 2.5 and Serbia 2.2. Maybe those countries now need to protect themselves against infected refugees from the west ! So, there you are SH. the safest place to be is Bulgaria !

This could be the only way to stop Vardy scoring his 100th goal at the weekend. :emoticon-0100-smile

McLaren have withdrawn from this weekend's season-opening Australian Grand Prix after a team member tested positive for coronavirus. In a statement McLaren said: "The decision has been taken based on a duty of care not only to McLaren F1 employees and partners, but also to the team's competitors, Formula 1 fans and wider F1 stakeholders."

Maybe action such as this will exert pressure from the bottom on governing bodies or governments to be far more proactive.

Mrs Fez and I are regulars at Warner's (our latest trip was to Herefordshire a few weeks ago) and nobody does more than they at maintaining the highest hygiene standards. At evening meal time we'd go directly from the having showered and dressed to the dining room without having to touch anything other than the door lever to our room...

Three Leicester City players are self-isolating after showing symptoms of coronavirus.

Saturday's match going to be postponed after this? Or the whole league...?

Cancellation of the whole season would be just fine. I would not even ask for a refund on the remaining games.

It's only going to get worse as time goes by, end the season now I say - but only if the current tables are deemed to be the final tables...

Those Chesham people are strange creatures. Scallywags and thieves no doubt.

Maybe the answer is to have the table service rather than the buffet. At Studley Castle they have a separate restaurant to the main dining hall, not great though. Cricket St Thomas is our favourite so far. We saw Jimmy James the other night, still going strong at 80.

You'd think so but nothing said yet.

Also Leicester have suffered injuries to two key players so might have been a good time to play them but ofcouse health comes first.

Will lower league clubs be compensated for loss of earnings though if games are cancelled?

The Scottish government have announced a ban on all gatherings of more than 500, effective next week. I thought it odd at first - why not start today? I suspect they had fears of rioting in Glasgow if tonight's Rangers Europa League match and the Old Firm derby didn't go ahead on Sunday...

And well it gets that game out of the way rather than having to organise it again?

The answer to that is yes in the case of road border posts. Stopping of trains can be a lengthy business - but is no more difficult than 20 years ago.when all trains were stopped at borders. People who cross 'green' borders will still do that with or without Schengen. About 40 years ago, long before Schengen I was wandering in the Pyrenees and did not know at what stage France became Spain - there must be many 'borders' like this which have never really existed with or without Schengen. If someone is prepared to hike over mountains and valleys they can cross any border as long as we're not talking about North Korea or the ex GDR. But I guess that sufferers of the coronavirus are probably not physically up for that and will take the more comfortable routes. The Czech Republic is now controlling all borders and is refusing entry to nationals of 15 different countries, including the UK. So I guess if the Czechs have the infrastructure then everyone else does.
