If that was happening, I think it would have happened already.

Either they're not getting rid, or their lining up someone new to take over first.

Whatever the fans think is of no relevance to the owners. In fact the more the fans protest the deeper the heels go in.

Not sure why Dawson would be the favourite to take over when he's got no connection with the Alarms.
For what it's worth, I reckon Terry will see out the season.

He won't get off the gravy train voluntarily, he'll have to be pushed

If the club were to replace from within, then my money would be on Pennock though like others suspect this won't happen

Not heard anything at all, my inability to drink has severely curtailed my socialising and I don't get to hear a lot of the stuff I used to.

My first game was 1982. I've been a regular since about 86. I've not seen a team as predictably pathetic, and as out of their depth, as what we have right now. I've seen teams worse at football (Dolan, Hateley). I've seen teams with less passion (Hateley, 2009/10 season for the most part). But I've never seen a team so ill-prepared for what is facing them.

Grant McCann has a fair few mitigating factors, but they are mostly things that he went into with his eyes open. The Allams haven't just suddenly become clueless owners. He got Bowen and Grosicki for half a season longer than he'd probably expected. Injuries happen. They may not happen to the extent that we've suffered them, but if the replacements aren't good enough then McCann has to carry the can for much of that. If replacements Tafazolli, Magennis, Maddison, Honeyman, Balogh, Wilks, etc... aren't up to the standards that he or we expect, it was him who brought them in.

McCann has been able to shape his own squad. He's been given funds/resources that should, I think, be good enough to see us survive in this division. The "let's blame the Allams" schtick doesn't quite work with me on this one (for once). McCann has to be better than this. I want him to turn it around, obviously, but his intransigence or his inability to see what is clear to every last person doesn't fill me with any hope.

I worry about relegation. A lot. It's pointless trying to second-guess the Allams, but I do think they'll be less likely to sell in League 1 as they'll be less likely to recoup the money they see as owed to them. That's all on the proviso that they want to sell. Which they don't. But I need a bit of hope on that score. Just a modicum. And in League 1 I'd have none. It seems now that McCann is being given a last chance against Charlton this weekend. He's a lucky boy if so.

I agree with most if not all of this RG. Its his squad and his way. I agree totally that the c****s upstairs have supported him financially in bringing people in, people that he has asked for. Maddison is going to cost the thick end of 400k to 500k in wages and loan fees!! ?? We've never had a run of injuries that we've experienced, to a point where the club investigated facilities I believe and came up with a 'nothings wrong' result. That being the case, you would have to assume the sports training is wrong, or 'the warm-up' or whatever it is. In terms of the clubs survival with the inability to sell based on valuation, this summer, no matter where we end up, JDW will be sold. Long will be sold, LDS will be sold all to cover the running costs, I cannot see much value in any of the others, many of whom will not have contracts renewed.

Whomever thinks McCann't is blameless is either deluded or naive. Everyone is aware how shyte our owners are but the players he has personally sanctioned to bring in where supposed to be brought in to play to his systems and formations. I cant see one player who he has added that fits that so called system and formation. I keep banging on about this lot not being world beaters .. but they wont be trying to play a system advocated by the clueless one when their limited talents dont lend themselves to it. Every decent manager in history is flexible .. they play to the squads strengths .. any football person with a modicum of footballing nowse can see the system being played is leaving us wide open and overrun.. yet we get an individual who doesnt think it's the managers fault ???? I suspect its McCann'ts wife posting .. the clowns in charge have systematically sold off assets built up .. they have given daft lad a limited budget but he has spunked it on players he is incapable of getting a time out of .. who's fault is that ? If he cant see what everyone else does what does that tell you about him ? And to call fans a disgrace for calling for his head is a pathetic attempt at posturing. We have had better managers down the history of the club that have been sacked for lesser runs of poor form .. time to face facts .. I suspect he has lost the dressing room .. all I see is a group of individuals wander on to the pitch like lambs to the slaughter .. with little understanding or faith in a failing formation system and tactics employed by our manager. Change or we go down .. simple equation.

I think you're right but if Terry were to go I think it'd be either Daws or Pennock put in 'temporary charge'.

Dawson’s record at Scunny was worse than Terry’s here . Not sure he’s the answer

That's no real shock, Scunny are in the same boat we're in - they have an owner who is selling assets and wanting out, chopping and changing managers (seven in two seasons). I wouldn't read too much into Dawson's time as caretaker there.

I love Andy Dawson, but he did manage Scunny to relegation at the back end of last season. The Scunny fans I know don't blame him for the relegation or anything like that, but it did show that he couldn't quite turn a similar situation around. I don't think we should appoint anyone based on pure emotion, but if we went with the Whitney/Brabin dream ticket (as manager and assistant) I'd go out and but 30 or 40 memberships immediately.

I've been told a couple of times by people who have a far better understanding of how he operates than I have, that Ehab views managerial appointments as an opportunity to show people how clever he is. That's been behind the left-field choices such as Silva, Slutsky and McCann, and why it took him so long to appoint Phelan on a permanent basis. Our saviour would be as likely to come from the Allsvenskan as he would from within.
