Well here we are again playing a club who may or may not have any players to send having not paid them once more. The first match between these two was cancelled due to problems with Macclesfield and was, in my opinion wrongly re-scheduled for recently. I have made views known before and if you can't fulfill fixtures then you should not be in the league. Since then there has been no further punishment of Macclesfield yet even though at that time they had a 4 point deduction suspended. Things clearly haven't improved since.

There is little to say about the current form and the like. Argyle's is much better and we are at home having won a decent game in midweek comfortably. No banana skin here then.....................

I've at last managed to get access via my mobile back again.

So here we are at a sunny Home Park, kitted out with face masks, rubber gloves, a crucifix and garlic. I lied about the sun.

Looking quite busy considering the fixture. Will there even be spectators by the end of the season?

Not as easy as the stats suggest but a delicious chip from Hardie to put us ahead.

Much better in the second half. Cooper with a canon ball into the roof of the net and then a low curler into the bottom right corner.

In between, Byron Moore (I think) had what I'm advised should have been another when the ref failed to spot it had crossed the line before being cleared.

In the end comfortable but Macclesfield made more chances in the first half than you expect from a relegation haunted team. We attack on full throttle and at times the midfield looks deserted.

Cooper was simply unplayable and a reasonable MoM. My shock pick though would be Niall Canavan. An absolute colossus.

I'm getting a bit sick of this. One simple fact. If Mayor wasn't on the pitch then Cooper doesn't get the chance to blast it in for his first. Mayor drew three players, yes plym that is three player, to him and passed it to one side for Cooper to blast into the net. Mayor often does this. It is nothing new. Almost every game it happens one way or another. Mayor is well worth the salary and his place in the side and let that be the end to this stupid debate.

An easy win in the end with a few scary moments. Macclesfield couldn't get the bounce of the ball if they had bought it and the Ref and the pitch and stadium. Nothing much went right for them and it is the sign of a team struggling at the wrong end of the league. You have to say they had their chances but either very stout defence or luck or whatever denied them a result from it. Argyle on the other hand had their chances and too a few of them. The first was Hardie who expertly chipped the keeper. Never in doubt. The second was Cooper given an almost certain chance by Mayor. The third was Cooper again who hit it with his other foot and it just went through everyone. Good performance and great result. Could have been more but 6 in two games with no reply was as good as it needed to be.

Absolutely agree re Mayor., the two of them combined beautifully. One of his best games and he always gives the opposition nightmares.

I cast a vote on pasoti for MOM and gave it to.......................drum roll........................Canavan. He was pretty much faultless today and his distribution of the ball be it short or long was impeccable. Since they sorted out his diabetes he has come on leaps and bounds. Cooper will get the plaudits for the goals as scorers always do but for the simple and dirty work today Canavan was really good. Wootton needs to take a lesson or two from him as he is a disaster waiting to happen sometimes. Goal line clearance was brilliant but his near give a goal away shambles wasn't.

Think it was Hardie who scored but didn't with a header notdistant. Couldn't see from where I sit but others seem pretty sure.

Having watched the video a few times...it seems that Hardie was hard done by....his header was scooped back by the keeper from behind him and then bounced on the line as it was cleared....for that to happen it was clearly well over the line....how did the linesman not see that.....VAR would have been useful for that moment......and if we had scored four we would have been on the same goal difference with Swindon and only one behind Crewe....at present our goal difference is far better than Exeter and equivalent to an extra point. Beating them in a few weeks time could banish them to the playoffs.

Glad we agree about Canavan. He was superb yesterday against surprisingly good opponents. Did he lose a single header? And yes, seems it was Hardie. Tranpires that the stewards discuss the game over the radio and the one behind the Barn Park goal saw it clearly over the line. The ref didn't confer with him unfortunately.

If you don't believe us about Mayor Plym, how about the Macclesfield manager Mark Kennedy:

I'll tell you who else is rubbish is that Adam Randell, if anyone from another club should ask. A lad his age should be nervous, panic and lose the ball when challenged by older more experienced players in front of a big crowd. All he does is pass it to an Argyle team mate without a care in the world as if he was 250 games under his belt. It's just not on,

I just watched the Hardie disallowed goal in slow motion on IFollow, No doubt at all it was in, the keeper reaches behind himself to claw it out and that movement only causes it to bounce down ONTO the goal line. Should have been 4-0, the Grandstand linesman might have seen it but a Macclesfield defender might have blocked his view.

Can we scrap VAR and instead have goal line technology at all League grounds?
