The combination was there . Ex player haunts us - and - we throw away the opportunity of a better position because our rivals are having a bad day . Should have been at the bookies getting some money on - we just always seem to do it !!!

2 points from the last 9, and we should have taken at least 7 imo.

We just couldn't get a foot on the ball in the closing stages. There was that one chance that Lafferty couldn't poke in then didn't quite fall to Gooch.

That's a kick square in the knackers. Time for the lads to shake it off and find some steel going forward. We're just a bit too soft.

    Massive opportunity for us today.

Parkinson has exhausted this side. Today's inclusion of lafferty shows the advantages of mixing it up now and again.

I don't think we are quite good enough for promotion, let's hope we get a bit of luck if we make the playoffs this year.

We’re 3 points behind second man. I aheee mixing it up makes a difference but to say not good enough for promotion when all around us are about as bad doesn’t make sense to me

Coventry are doing the business and seem to be going up but there's 7 other teams going for two spots, I'd give Sunderland a better chance than some of those teams so I'd say it's still at least 50-50 to go up. That felt impossible only a couple of months ago. A point on the board when others around failed.

Absolutely gutted. Still well in the hunt through. A lot of football to be played.

Possitives to take from the game, Lafferty and Semenyo, and we gain a point on the second automatic spot, and its still all to play for. OaU.

We haven't been in the top 2 all season.

That's why I don't think we are good enough.

I hope I'm proved wrong, but I think we are weaker than we were last season, and we missed out then.

Very hard to watch today. Passing was woeful, thought Gooch, Hume and Dobson we particularly poor. Semenyo should have been on earlier and Hume needs a rest. In the end we were lucky to get a point as the keeper made a couple of great saves.

All Gillingham deserved from that was a slap but we didn't play well. We were tired and out of ideas resulting in endless punts forwards. When we actually played football we were good and better than any other team in the league but there wasn't enough of it.

More likely that these players dont have the mental strength to play for Safc. Cant handle the pressure imo.

It makes no frigging difference how many points we are off 2nd we will never get there cos of these ****ups every time and ex SAFC player
ruins our chances typical !. and another bad first half. that's my lot for this season. Watmore is our best player down the wing yet does not get a game bring back Moyes hehe.

I'd agree about Gooch as well, I'd start Semenyo and John. Hume is having a dip in form that all young players have, he will come back stronger from it but needs taking out. I'd bring scowen in as well, Dobson had a mare today.

We all estimated about 6 mind, 5 subs, 3 goals and then the trainer was on for 2 mins for their player down in the box just before the 90 were up.
