Chap texted into R5L this morning saying that he saw something similar in his supermarket and suggested that the person concerned should see a doctor but not about Covid :emoticon-0102-bigsm

To the best of our knowledge the virus does not bring on a dose of the runs! <doh>

I know - my wife and daughter work at the same school & they don't normally get home until after 7:00pm every night. They cook their dinners and leave the mess for me to clean up...

I do already have a man shed - it's down by the harbour, called The Shore Inn.;)

Apparently the Premier League are now considering advising, or banning, over 70s from attending matches. Guess the UGT stand will be half empty then. <yikes>

Another option is to close the leagues down and declare this season null and void
Imagine the howling from a certain part of the north west and the hysterical laughing from the rest of it
Or could play all games behind closed doors and stream the matches
I wonder if some teams would even notice

Good morning all. Just back from buying my Travelcard for the day. Meeting up with an old band mate I've known for 30+ years pre-match and a new friend we met on holiday a couple of years back post match. He had a heart attack about an hour or so after I last saw him at the hotel in Morocco. We'd met him and his Missus couple of years previously at the same hotel.

Gig tonight as well... gonna be a long day!

Morning all. Some cloud, but some sunshine here, and it is not raining yet. A really good game at Chateauroux last night against Caen, and Chateauroux scored the winner in the 89th minute. One of the young players that Watford were said to have an interest in came off the bench, and set up the winner. Normally he is very quick and has plenty of tricks, but cannot cross the ball. Last night he went down the wing to the goal line, then put in an inch perfect cross that only needed a tap in from the centre forward. One idea that hasn't been tried at Watford yet seemed to have brought a few more fans along. Bring your wife, girlfriend or daughter along a couple of hours before kick off and they can have a free hairdo or make up session with one of the local beauty parlours. Judging by some of the pictures quite a few ladies enjoyed watching the game with a sense of well being. Have a very good stress free day. <ok>

Or declare the season finished as is. That way we'd stay up and that lot up the motorway would be relegated. Win:win.

I have been wondering BB why you did not colour England in blue without the stars? :emoticon-0136-giggl

Reading the entry in Watford FC on this Day for Sat 5 March 1955 I quote

"...Roy Brown, one of the clubs first black players, was dismissed having reacted to a 'racial slur' from an opponent...."

    How times have changed.

I loved watching Roy Brown. He was lithe, speedy, and had springs in his boots. He was one of the first players I remember who had the ability to 'hang' in the air. He was accomplished at both centre half and centre forward, and during the 53/54 season scored 21 goals in 36 appearances. A lovely man who lived in Bushey until his death in 1989.
