agreed think i made a similar point on the Watford thread - obviously pre game .
Shame about Williams but think both he and Jones need trying in our PL team before season end to properly assess their level .

 

I was on that side of the argument too until recently when it dawned on me how good a position we are in to go for the treble. I'm sure they'll love playing in the PL

That's why I say the team selection for the Chelsea game will be interesting.

 

I agree. I'm just saying that if I wanted the FA Cup I'd have no hesitation in thanking the youngsters and telling that they'd played their part. Their time will come, but the senior players are picking it up now.

 

A full youth team no, but the likes of Jones and Williams who are on the cusp of the first team anyway and directly responsible for us being here deserve to be the first names on the team sheet imo.

If we play the kids, it will be without Neil Critchley.

He was never taking charge of this game anyway; it would be a mixture of youth and reserves rather than pure youth team therefore Klopp would be on the touchline

 

I am worried, winter break seems to have had a negative effect on your performance.

Dejan Lovren must start
Former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson has insisted Dejan Lovren must start against Chelsea in the FA Cup tonight.

Lawro told BBC Sport, as cited by HITC, that the Croatian needs to regain match fitness after looking “rusty” against Watford.

He said: “I don’t think Klopp will play as many kids this time - after Dejan Lovren’s performance at the back at the weekend I would definitely be playing him, because he looked unbelievably rusty.”
