I've liked most of the Nike kits we've had, still got the long sleeve from 2001, one of my favourite designs.

Unfortunately it's not a direct deal with Nike. As the article on the club's website says, its through Just Sport Pro Club who an intermediary. Despite what it says, I'm not sure that this means we'll get a bespoke kit. These intermediary deals tend to mean that the clubs get a team wear kit, a generic template, with the badge stuck on. We would have been better off going with a smaller supplier like Avec or Macron.

They reference ‘bespoke’ 3 times in the press release, so I’m confident we will get a unique kit.

There’s an actual Nike staff member in the quotes, I’ll be surprised if we therefore get a template, with Mike having stated they will not use them.

I know the deals that Peterborough and Portsmouth have, they get templates, but that announcement of bespoke for everyone was only made a month back.

I didn’t mind the Nike kits, the all white away was smashing, Adidas are my favourite all time brand but the gear has been absolute lazy, bastard ****e.

I hope so, it's just that that's how these intermediary deals seem to work usually.

The old Nike kits were nice and so are the current bespoke ones so if we do get a bespoke one, I'm sure it'll look ok. The current Portsmouth ones are horrible though. Like a cheap knock off of the 2002 template.

The adidas ones have been ****e for several seasons now, so it's time for a change.

I said over the road a good mate of mine is high up in Nike China. He was warned back in Sept that the kits better be good. I think there is a random post of mine to that effect from October time over there. So if he survives the Corona virus he may not survive a **** strip when he’s next over at the match. :)

Yeah the Pompey one is absolute ****e.

The bespoke guarantee was only made recently though, could be that it even applies to those sides with templates. The fact it’s a longer term deal and that a night spokesman has chirped up makes me think it’s a bit closer to Nike than just a middleman.

They’ve made some top kits recently, as a massive Nike fam I live some of the current crop of away kits using the original 90s Nike branding (Chelsea, Atlético, PSG etc), some nice plain training gear would be sound, I don’t buy the kits I have had a bunch of the Adidas polos and that to show my colours, been good that side just the kits were pony.

Would just like to point out that Nike are the kit manufacturer......not the sponsor.

Those 90s style ones are nice. As I think we've discussed before, I'm a bit of a collector of such things (just got a nice Rapid Vienna top, don't wear them in public, just round the house) but I only buy ones I like so haven't bothered with a lot of the adidas ones. If it is a bespoke kit and not a template, there's a good chance that it'll be added to the collection. Will be disappointed if it's as **** as the Southend/Portsmouth/Preston ones.

Liked the Nike strips and some good memories of the times we played in them. CA2CA3C2-5F95-463C-BCC7-8170CF58102C.jpeg

Loved the white one. Next to the Hummel white one, one , it’s one of my favourites. Fair play to you giving it away x
