Excellent set of results for us today, tomorrow it's up to us to advantage points wise. At the very least don't lose. A win would make it a massive weekend for us. Ha'Way The Lads. Cmon.
If Coventry win tomorrow, they go 2 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand over 2nd place. The possibility of getting back to the Championship after 8 years away will be completely in their hands. It will be pressure they've not felt in a long time and it will either make or break them.
I'll be down in the port to watch it drinking a few pints of Estrella Galicia, might even wear my old yellow/gold Hummel shirt I got for the Play Off Final against Swindon. I'm looking forward to it but nervous as hell. I'll be the only one interested as all the people we know think watching 3rd div football is ****e, I'm watching my team man, nowt wrong with that.
Squeaky bum time Lads/Lasses...huge game tomorrow with the results in Lge1 today. Equally big for both sides but a massive incentive at the end. Win would be nice but I'm going for a draw.
have an archery competition tomorrow V Koln already put my sick note in Reisdorff grolsch in, I really wanted to do the nationals but this is more important to miss
Jealous of your running couldn't even finish 18 holes today as my plantar fasciitis kicked off big time..
For no reason whatsoever and nowt to do with the thread. The last time #nufc scored, the UK was in the European Union and no-one had ever heard of the corona virus.
I think that's a bit harsh on Ross. I'm not saying he was, or ever will be the greatest of managers, but he did take us to Wembley twice in 1 season, and came so close to a trophy and promotion. Yes the football wasn't great, but it isn't great under Parkinson either. Let's face it, Parkinson can take us as close as he likes, but if he doesn't get promotion, he's in the exact same bracket as Ross. Ugly football without success. I think it's been a trait of the safc fans over the years, heap praise on the current performing manager, whilst slating the previous manager. In reality, they've done as much as each other currently. So if your happy with Parkinson, show some respect to Ross.
I think Parkinson is the better manager but in ten years time Ross will be better than Parky is now. Ross is only a baby in terms of managerial experience but as you say he was oh so close to delivering everything asked of him at his first attempt. Donald said that he thought maybe the enormity of turning the club around wore him out and he didn't have the energy and inspiration to build on a good start, makes sense to me. If only he'd had the sense to work on fitness the same way Parky is I think we'd have gone up but he neglected it badly. All part of learning.
Nah, I stand by everything I've said. I don't heap praise on the current manager, and deride the last, I judge them as I see them. What I saw with Ross was someone who constantly changed systems and selections for no apparent reason ... ... and surrendered endless games including two at Wembley. I had little confidence against Charlton but would be happy going into the playoff's with Parkinson.
Have you tried KT tape mate? I suffered from it for years, was given stretching exercises to do by a podiatrist, but it didnt work, or at best was temporary relief. I tried the kt (i think its called kinesiology tape-got it off amazon), and followed a guide on youtube on how to use it for PF. I used if for about 6 weeks (kept it on 24hrs a day) and i havent suffered from it since.....that was three years ago. Worth a try mate, if you havent already.
Check out your calve situation . If they’re short/ tight , they will restrict ankle mobility and that can be a big cause of plantar
You praised Parkinson's organisation, and then went onto pull apart Ross. There's nothing wrong with doing that, but the end of the season will be the best time to do it. Promotion is on a knife edge, and if you roll back 12 months, the situation was identical. I don't enjoy Parkinson's football, but am hoping it's enough to get us out of this awful division. He will have my full credit if he gets us promoted, if he doesn't, he's in the same bracket as Ross.
I can judge a manager any I like tbh and it's not based entirely on promotion. They're two separate things, the football and the result. The football under Ross was rotten, demoralising and defeatist ... ... I much prefer the positive attitude now and will maintain that stance whether we go up or not.
Ok, let's hope you keep to that if we are not promoted. Praying we are though. Cannot stand this league.
