Wigan just took the lead against WBA. 1 point gap as it stands.

"Hopefully we can get a result at Stoke". "This game won't define our season". "We have to make sure we find a way". "At the moment we haven't got enough players performing".

    Clueless?

Luton equalised at the death against Stoke, that helps a bit. **** me we're getting desperate when this sort of thing can make a difference!

Even if Wigan had lost today, we're going to need to improve to save ourselves rather than rely on anyone else. And at the moment its hard to see where improvement will come from. I still feel sorry for Grant McCann as he couldn't control the sale of Bowen and Grosicki and I don't think he could control the injuries - although do wonder if they're training related. But I am now wondering whether he can really get any more out of the players at his disposal. A new manager might make a (short term) difference but fear it could be a 'sack Phil Brown get Ian Dowie' situation all over again. On balance, I'd still probably give him 2 more games against teams around us, but cant make that argument with much conviction I have to admit.

Got a constructive suggestion on who you would replace him with to improve things AND would come here. I think plenty would still take it on but would they do better?

Watched a different game to me , the 3rd goal they walked it from one end to the other without so much as a challenge , like the Harlem globetrotters , we just stood and watched as they lined up shot after shot on our goal , almost admiring that guys left foot . We barely registered an attempt on goal at home - like I say even when you watch league 2 side play premier league they have a spell of putting them under pressure . There is no fight in that team. How often do a bottom of the league team surprise a top team in this league? Quite often , Wigan just beat WBA for example - and they do it by showing extra heart and fight . Leeds did a professional job , but some of you talking like they are Barcelona , I didn’t expect to win today but I expected to lay a glove on them , to make them work for it . Not stroll it in first gear .

I don't think I've seen such a lightweight City side in a long, long time....Got pushed off the ball with ease. When the 2nd went in their heads went down quicker than a French aristocrat at a guillotine party. Spineless, leaderless and pretty clueless. If Terry gets out of this he'll deserve manager of the year. Other than that everything is great.

I agree and this comes from the top , just using Warnock as an example - if he was in charge on Wednesday night , is there anyway a team of his would be allowed to put in such a weak effort again 3 days later , I really doubht it -

Does sitting in different stands give people on here a different perspective on what they are seeing and their opinion of McCann? I note that people on here state that he has been dealt a bad hand. Put all that aside, there’s only been a few games this year where the team has played well. Sitting in the South Stand, it is painfully obvious where the problem lies, and it’s been going on all season. It’s like watching an Under 8’s team. Getting a view of the whole length of the pitch, the team have been coached to all move over to the left when the opposition has the ball, ditto they all move over to the right when play switches. For whole swathes of the game, every City player is to the left or right of the pitch, leaving no one in the other 50 percent of it. As a consequence, there are 5,6,7, 8 players all within twenty yards of each other near the touch line. The ball is shifted quickly and we are totally exposed. Or we win the ball and the only passes on offer are within a few yards to each other. Half the game there is no one anywhere near centre mid. Is this apparent when watching from the East Stand? The question as to who would replace McCann is irrelevant. With him we are screwed. Without him we may or may not be screwed. I’d take a gamble on the latter.
