In that game, Watford showed large signs of improvement, but still ended up on the losing end and Pearson admitted that, in order for his side to pick up points, he probably also needs Jurgen Klopp’s men to have an off day. “It was a really tough game - I think our own level of performance was good, but their quality shone through and won them the game with an excellent first goal,” Pearson said of the away game. “We had our opportunities on the day and didn’t take them. We’ve just got to try and make sure that we play as close to our maximum as we can and if we do that, we can cause anybody problems. Then it’s about whether key moments in the game go your way or not. I think it’s fair to say they’re an outstanding side and to have won the amount of games they’ve won this season is really incredible. It’s going to be, however they play, a very difficult game. please log in to view this image Liverpool were given a scare by West Ham but ultimately prevailed to keep their superb winning streak intact on Monday night. A pity, I think he bought a bit of aggression to the game, not always helpful though, but entertaining.
One thing we must do today is play 100% right to the end cos Pool will score a late goal if given the chance.
