I personally don’t read anything in terms of Lee’s position into their meeting. As for discussions around the merits of LJ versus SC its interesting but academic , SC ultimately seemed to fall out with SL, there was only going to be one end once that happened, despite the rights or wrongs of the reason for the fallout .
We are still on with a chance of getting into the playoffs, if we manage it LJ will definitely be here next season . If we don’t, it may well depend on how much we miss out by , that determines whether he is or not.

The rumour has always been that Steve Cotterill had agreed fees and when on holiday the club tried to renegotiate them scuppering the deals.

Players brought in by SC were funded by sales in particular Baldock. Steve Cotterills targets were realistic when considered v Lee Johnsons spending. Mr Cotterill did not have the same commitment to wages and amortisation etc. That tight financial ship has/was been binned for Lee Johnson.

Hasn't Johnson made a few bob from his sales to fund his transfers as well?

Re Cotts, that's exactly what I heard from a source within the club.

And stubborn to his formations...wouldn't budge with his setup in the championship...was all well documented at the time...hence the reason we ended in a relegation battle that LJ rescued.......................................have we forgotten? Just asking..

I am not certain, but I assume you are talking 'net spend' here which is the fairly new buzz word, then if so, I think LJ is way ahead in this terms, look at the fees he has re-couped to be able to spend. SL hasn't just simply GIVEN more money to LJ than any other manager, the club is simply on a better footing and now able to attract good players to the club, and that is down to LJ, something SC couldn't do, and therefore SL is allowing more to be re-invested.

If LJ left today, the next manager would get the same level of backing, and I'll bet people aren't on his back so much, or so quickly.

Notice how it's all the LJ out brigade that are now saying SC had the rug pulled from under him in deals.... Coincidence....

    Junior isn't going anywhere.
The 'meeting' with SL after Huddersfield was bubble gum. Just to make disgruntled City fans think that SL is 'on it'.
SL has no intention of removing Junior, we'd better get used to it.

As for a new manager, to say he'll get the same backing - sorry it's for the Fairies.

Must be on a poor run @Redprintt has popped up again talking his rubbish. Although I agree that LJ isn't going anywhere but he's definitely been on the fairy juice if he believes that Lansdown won't support his next manager

SC agreed a price for Maguire (only him from rumours) and the bloke before Mark Ashton tried to renegotiate when Cotts was on holiday, so it fell through. The one who rumoured to have done that lost his job into that season.
The players Cotts bought in league one was months before Baldock was sold, so unless it was prearranged before then technically he wasn’t funding the other purchases.
LJ sales v incoming don’t need much explaining.

Junior reckons the new signings are 'not up to speed and are not bought in'.
    Fair play they might not.
However that arguement is undermined somewhat by Wells scoring 5 in 6 games at QPR prior to joining City.
On your 2nd point, a great result for N P.

This is always the risk with January signings, as there is no pre-season to 'bed them in'; however, it's LJ and the coaching teams job to sort that out, and they have had a month to do that, so it's not a good enough excuse really!
