Sorted out a new phone last week. Ended up getting an iPhone XS on a fairly decent contract. When I got it I was honestly tempted to send it back and keep my 7 plus, but I've given that to a relative now who needed a new handset. The XS is a very nice phone but it was just underwhelming or I don't really care that much. Can always swap it for something else still I suppose, I've got another week's grace period
When I moved almost three years ago, I lost all my tropical fish (not literally). Finally got to the point where I'm able to get it setup again. It's a lot more expensive now though; just spent £500 on a ****ing tank Least it came with a cabinet, water filter, heater and lighting so I've only got to buy gravel, ornaments and the actual fish.
I've thought about getting some fish, nothing fancy. I believe that looking at fish in a tank is very calming and good for easing anxiety.
Definitely. Didn't want to just anything, wanted to go big immediately rather than swapping later and risking the fish again. I'll share a picture once it's setup. Annoyingly, I've been building the cabinet but one of the sides is faulty so got to wait for a replacement now; hopefully be here tomorrow. Was going to surprise the kids when they got home from school (wouldn't have fish in, need to setup and leave it for a week first)
We had a goldfish when the boys were small and lost it in a heatwave one summer. We'd been keeping the water cool and clean but it still ended up in that big fish bowl in the sky. I may think more seriously about getting some fish again. Post some pics when you're all set up.
You should have said I have a 50 gallon tank and stand, filter etc sitting empty in my garage after dismantling my system last year. You could have had it for £50, with you collecting it.
Bit late now The one we got goes with the living / dining room decor, hence paying a bit more than I'd have liked. Not sure where you live but I imagine it's a commune none the less!
We've got a small cold water tank for the youngest but probably about 8-10litres at most (the new tank is 230litres). Dead easy to take care of cold water fish especially goldfish; just don't over feed them
It was just in one of those round fish bowls so no fancy temperature control or filter or anything. We won the fish at a fair or something and had to act quickly with finding a receptacle for it.
That's what set us off about 10yrs ago; youngest won a goldfish at the fair. I added a couple of others before upgrading to a bigger tank etc
