Dele missed almost as many as Son on Sunday, so that means he was getting into good positions

    Him or his brother, anyway...

Yeah exactly, time off the bench to bed in. Now he’s going to be coming off the bench with a lot more pressure on him

Mourinho's suggesting that Son's out for the season, according to reports of his press conference. Oh balls.

Oh yeah, other players are injured too

...quick check, have we ever mentioned Foyth's groin injury before?

It's possible that Steven Bergwijn will step into the role played by Son with the support of Dele amd Lucas.

And so do the managers, for not taking the pre-season forays of academy
kids and trying to give them some competitive senior season game time, lest
an injury plague befalls the squad ...

We ****ed about in January, making it look like were going to sign a striker. I never believed we had the slightest intention...or, at least, that Daniel Levy didn't.

He's always wanted Parrott to be that player. Unfortunately, Mourinho thinks very differently. That's the mismatch in action. Levy's looking years ahead, Mourinho doesn't care about that and wants players NOW!

It's very hard to see this holding together for very long.

I'm sorry but one cannot blame our injury list on Levy or the manager.
Some teams play just as much football and don't get injuries and half their squad don't play. But they still get paid loads. We don't run like that. But have been very unlucky with our injuries.
As above, surely we can have an emergency loan like Barca have.

Overplaying players creates injuries. Not for this one for Son, but Harry Kane's injury is likely to have resulted from playing every minute of every game...and possibly Moussa Sissoko's too, who had injury troubles last season for the same reason. Now, Aurier's playing too much and Lucas and Dele.

Wolves have played far more than us. How many injuries do they have?
Was Lloris injured due to too much football?

    1. They do have less than everyone else in the division, though. Newcastle have about 10.
We just don't have a very balanced squad, so injuries in certain positions are disastrous.
They've also more likely, as we can't rest or rotate in those roles.

Was reading somewhere else that amputation would result in a quicker return date

    might be worth considering?

So there's a theory doing the rounds (albeit on Reddit) that the issue with Tanguy is he has anterior pelvic tilt (or ATP for short), which means he has poor posture because his body's forcing him to have poor posture and his is the reason why he's susceptible to injury as his hips stack up into his lower back and cause his spine to arch and also put strain on his hamstrings and groin, meaning that in profile you look like this

Now remember that photo of him in training that did the rounds last week, which had the usual reactionaries saying he'd been at the pies

More importantly, when you see Tanguy run he certainly looks like the right-hand picture in the diagram - and I have to say I know what a misaligned spine and hips can do, thanks to what could be referred to as a cataclysmic even in my lower back at the start of December putting him hips out of alignment and causing my spine to find a new home in my sciatic nerve, which in turn came within an inch or two of tearing my hamstring and causing all manner of knock-on effects down my entire leg that I'm still doing a buttload of stretches for to get my hamstring from the size of a tennis ball as it was in mid-to-late December to where it is now where I'm only really limping on days where it's cold and damp...like today. ****.

However, before anyone goes apoplectic and starts reaching for a handful of P45s for our medical team, it's worth pointing out that Raheem Sterling also has APT, which again if you see him running he looks exactly like the right-hand diagram, so it's a condition that can certainly be managed with physios and massage therapists - but it's also worth pointing out that his season was screwed up by a groin strain that was exacerbated by him being called up for the France squad who assumed it wasn't so bad, and if he does have ATP that would certainly explain his fitness issues since then as his hamstrings were put under additional stress when he was compensating, sort of like how my calf was in a permanent state of cramp as it was having to do all the lifting (literally) for my leg

Or it's bollocks and Danny Rose was sneaking his Mars bars into Tanguy's food for months

Sounds like Sissoko could make a return almost a month ahead of schedule. April 24th return has become 'end of March'.

But as we're not allowed nice things, it would be disingenuous of me to not mention rumours that Son will miss the rest of the season AND most of pre season.

Seems excessive for a broken arm. Six weeks usually? Must be some complications.
