The mcclaren season want nowhere near as bad. A few months of crap with John carver is not the same as this shower of ****e either.
You seem very certain about us going down Roland. Would you put money on it if you were a betting man? 7 points is a sizeable gap at this stage. I think its a big ask for 2 of those teams to overtake us, that's assuming the canaries are already gone. Next season is the problem for me.
I hope its Villa and West Ham. I think it will come from them, Brighton and Watford. I have a sneaky feeling it might be Villa and Brighton.
We took 8 games to win and including cup games won only 7 all season. Pull another one, we were ****ing dreadful start to finish. Carvers 6 months compared to Bruce's six months?? Last we forget it was January and we were sitting comfortably in 10th and finished 3 points above the relegation zone. People have the most horrendously selective memories.
They most certainly do. McClaren was an absolute horror show - easily my worst watching us in recent times. Sent teams out with no plan whatsoever. Sam Allardyce's Newcastle were easily a worse watch than Bruces. Not even close. Literally just killed the game. I know its unpopular too, but the football under Rafa was horrific to watch. You have to respect his planning of stopping the oppo of course. But it was a terrible watch and no better than Bruce. Maybe Rondon and Perez partnership slightly lifts the watchability above Bruce's by a rizla paper type margin. I've said before I don't rate Bruce, and I would swap him without a seconds thought if I thought there was a chance of progression. But this off the deep end worst manager in history lark is far fetched. The football we played under Pardew was slaughtered. Yet no manager since has managed to make the football as watchable and achieved the survival goal to boot. That's the sad thing, that a club like ours have had Pardew as our best performing manager under this regime in terms of style and results. Alan ****ing Pardew. All the managers have my sympathy because you can't really fully judge them as they are constantly fighting the tide.
Saved by the last sentence. No manager can be properly or fairly judged for their time under Ashley. If I could be persuaded to make an exception to that it would be for McClaren. I even preferred Pardew to him.
Personally disagree. Under Bruce it's always been luck and we always look shocking. Under mcclaren, yes we were generally ****. But at least we had the odd game where we looked amazing. Problem is under Mcclareni wasnt as disillusioned as I am now.
We are all disillusioned. Even the people who are defending Bruce are disillusioned. It's less "we want him" and more "Well, who else can we get?" It's pure and utter disillusionment. If they sacked him tomorrow I couldn't care less, And I wouldn't be arsed who they hired after.
