TBF, the referee was a joke, apart from the six minutes added on. Fleetwood were time wasting, literally from the kick off. There was absolutely loads of instances where he could have got a grip of this in the first half alone, never mind the second half.

Not if the ref we had against Donny is anything to go by, the last time we were on Sky. That match was all about him in his eyes.
I kept thinking, all game 'can we not just get one lucky bounce' ...

... then we did <laugh>
Snap! The ball just didn't fall for us in the box.... until the 97th minute, that is! <laugh>

The thought did occur to me, while I was demolishing what was left of my fingernails as extra time was drawing to a close, that the Ref seemed just a tad reluctant to blow.
Was he waiting for us to score?
It seemed unlikely, given that till late on in the Game, he hadn't given us the lickings of a dog, but on reflection I wonder.
As soon as we scored, he let the kick off take place then he blew.

Both Sky and BBC give our goal at 90+7.

Oh Joey, Joey Joey:emoticon-0140-rofl:

The good thing as well is that Fleetwood still have to go to Ipswich, Pompey and Oxford, and have Rotherham at home. Lets hope they repeat their ****housery against this lot, and have a weak as piss ref to back them up!

To be fair - he added 6 minutes - they had 2 goal kicks (where the keeper took the piss and moved the ball 6 inches from where we put it down) and they took ages over throw ins during the added time so the extra time added at the end was surely justified.

One thing that got me, once again, was throw ins. Myself and @Smug in Boots noticed during the Oxford away game, the ref was pulling us back for every throw in. Not allowing us an inch, But allowing the opposition 15 yards+ without any retribution. They got a couple of throw ins inside the 10 yard line from the corner flag - waltzed up the line - one throw was take over 30 yards from the point it went out. As soon as we try to do that, ref whistles to stop us! It's getting beyond a joke now. I see the "evens itself out" but I'm just not seeing it this season! Need a strong ref on Sunday as Coventry will have watched that game and seen something they can exploit

It would surprise me if the extra minute was added out of any desire to see justice done, more likely just another mistake by an incompetent fool., or was he? I am beginning to wonder is their something is going on, surely they cant be all as bad as they appear.

Thing is, their fans are lapping it up too - singing "You're not famous anymore" - we haven't been "famous" since the 50's FFS!!

I always imagine what we'd be saying if we were the opposition supporters, it helps to keep a balanced view.

Fleetwood threw away two points yesterday because they couldn't defend a lead.

Rotherham have lost the lead in each of their last three games.

I think a few Sunderland supporters might have a fair bit to say if that was us.

You could tell he was a cock as soon as he came out at the start, been on the sunbed all day, puffing his chest out and trying to appear taller than his meagre 5ft 4in or however short arsed he was. A ****er of a man and a ****er of a ref, ****ing hopeless would be a compliment to the little ****bag.

MCB, whilst totally agreeing with you we, thats SAFC, are utter utter w*nk at throw ins. I am getting totally p*ssed off the way there is no movement or help to deliver the throw. Forget these little tippy tappy 4" passes.Just throw it down the wing. We either win it or the defender heads it out and we gain 15 yrds or so. Another thing that annoys me at throw ins ( and big hoofs up the pitch) is our players never anticipate that we might just win the header. ffs run forward hoping to gain a yard or two.

Aye :D
Watched it on a loop 6 or 7 times laughing.

That late goal, a point gained having battled on and the lift it probably gave the players could prove vital now in the run in.
