I will update this on the basis of that. Man City beating WHU is predicted on here. If the reverse happens then the games they need points from gets rejigged, and their objective is easier.

UPDATED Bournemouth need 13 points from 11 games.

I’ve moved what I believe is the ‘easiest’ of their contingency games into their required draws, ie Away to Man Utd. :)

    With 3W and 4D
Best chances of three points currently are:
    HOME to Crystal Palace
    HOME to Newcastle
    AWAY to Burnley
Best chances of draws from remainder currently are:
    AWAY to Everton
    AWAY to Wolves
    HOME to Leicester
    AWAY to Man Utd
Contingency games (where they’ll have to pick up points in case they mess up any of the above):
    HOME to Chelsea
    AWAY to Liverpool
    HOME to Spurs
    AWAY to Man City

Starting to think 39 pts won’t be the cut-off.

Do you think it will be higher then?
I think a few teams that are down there, or could get dragged in play each other e.g villa and wet spam

They lost against Burnley today and you haven't got their home game against Southampton in the penultimate game. Looking at their games I could imagine that they might only get another 6 points, making 32 in total.

I still think we're going to do it... a draw tomorrow would be a start, a win would be wondrous on so many levels.

I honestly think that now 36/7 points might be enough to beat the dreaded drop of doom or maybe I am just kidding myself. <doh>

There is some right ****e at the bottom of the table and we are right in that. :(

Hard to call.... BUT we MUST pick up points against the bottom clubs.... otherwise I am prepping for trips to some little northern towns next season...

If the current coronavirus leads to a further deterioration Premiership games could be cancelled to combat spreading the virus. This could possibly lead to the entire football season being declared "null and void".

Is this our only hope of surviving relegation?

Nope. Very much in our hands.
Covid19 (Corona Virus is a generic name for non-specific viruses; and I suspect that this one has been "engineered" alas) is a bit of a worry, it doesn't act like a normal virus... incubation times are all wrong and the virility of the symptoms are not like we've seen before. Who knows?

I have read one or two rumours on this..... and the fact that the Chinese 'mobilised' so quickly 'after the event'..... and a number of journos and others have 'disappeared'......

.... and now it is in Leeds and Bradford <wah> <yikes>

    It is also in Herts.

Medical research does in fact create a virus or two so that a vaccine can be made to counteract it. I have no idea how this one started, but it could have been from a lab that allowed it to escape. Just a possibility, and it may never be known what has happened as China can be so secretive. It does have a booming medicines market that supplies most of Europe, and it suffered when Trump placed trade sanctions on the country.
