Any win will do. Preferably game won by HT whereupon we can extract the urine in the 2ND half and wind him and his team up but a scrappy1-0 will suffice.
    No injuries please

Want us to win, hope we win, so I'm going to predict we will by giving them a damn good thrashing.

Law of averages/probability says that tomorrow will be the game when we finally concede, so I'm a bit worried.

I think we will win 2-0 or even more if we play to our strengths, and not get drawn into Bartons game plan, but by sticking to the rules of football. OaU

Important that the fans get right behind the lads from start to finish and are not distracted by the Joey Barton sideshow, the fans backing in these big games against promotion rivals is absolutely vital . The main thing is to win or at the very least draw , defeat would be unthinkable and damaging . A win means we can really celebrate then we can let him have both barrels but we have to focus on the game first . Haway the lads !!!

As has already been said a very difficult game against an inform team. Barton is a t—t who will have them wound up for this game but it’s important that the crowd stay with the players whatever happens. Give Barton a bit grief early on then forget him and get behind the lads. Let’s not give him the pleasure of it being about him. A win would be great as it would take a little pressure off the Coventry game having 3 points in the bag. Again not bothered about the performance it’s all about the 3 points. Come on lads what a week this could be.

They will be diving all over the pitch as Barton would expect, we owe them and Southend for costing us promotion last season, and we don't fear anyone in this division at home, but we need to start Lafferty and Watmore as we nearly copped it on Saturday. Their number 11 is very good have to watch him, Toney is the only player coming here i worry about.

Parky will, most likely, start the same 11 again....

Do not change a winning side?

Perhaps he should make substitutions earlier than 80 mins depending on how the game is going

Just think we’ll have too much for them and we’ll run out fairly comfy 2-0 winners.

I reckon it could be even more if the referee is strong, coz they will be at it from the off.

    But 2-0 will do me.

Yep I’m going 2-0, we’re playing brilliantly and at home we’ll be too much for them

I think we will win this one.
If I were Parky Id get stuck into them so ashram in the first 20 minutes so that Joey looks panic stricken - that's when their players confidence will drain.
Ill go for a comfortable, but hard fought as they will be no pushovers , 2-0 win.

We know they are going to cheat, foul and timewaste. I think we will actually concede the first goal. I am hoping and praying we will win. I am hoping we thrash the living daylights out of them and they get 1 or 2 players sent off.

Still sh*tting myself with this one though.

I agree with not being about that little twát but not even giving him satisfaction at the start.
Ideal scenario is 5-0 up at half time and another 2 in second half.
Plenty of time to wind him up last 45 :D

I'd love to see another Sunderland game where the referee isn't the centre of attention.

2:1 Tight as a gnats chuff, but we knick it and put Joey's "Culture of Cod" to an end.

Hope Scott Oldham is a half decent referee , I have a feeling he is going to have his work cut out and will need help from his assistants as I think their will be no love lost between the teams . The officials all season have been poor and the referees don’t seem to want the linesmen to have much involvement in decisions .

We have got to relish tomorrow night’s game. We’re fit, we’re strong, we’re in a good place and we’re ready for the next one.
There can be no let up. We enjoyed the winning feeling at the weekend, and we want it again. We will have to be at our very best to achieve it.
The Lads are driving themselves on. There is a desire in the group to keep going and they are a pleasure to work with.
Tomorrow is about what happens on the pitch. I don’t want to be talking at the end about this or that, let’s just get the job done. We know what we have got to do so let’s go and do it. If we do that, we have a great chance of getting the points.
