Like Gordon Greenidge, another nice boy from Berkshire that contributed much to the scene in Hampshire and beyond.
Yep him too for me. My football heros in order are: Kevin Keegan (from before he played for us) Steve Moran Danny Wallace Matt Le Tiss Rickie Too old for one now.
Seeing as this victory is old news and we are bored of it, I'll get the next thread up by tomorrow am. I had better prepare the next 4 or 5 too.
I won't be able to plan the other teams state beyond that and be able to comment on them - we'll be top 4, but not sure of our opponents
As we high-press and are always trying to pinch the ball we make lots of small fouls, usually high up the pitch.
I think though that when you aren't the strongest or tallest you tend to foul and get a freekick awarded against.
I wonder where we’d rate on the dirtiest, niggly, moany, players in PL? I’m assuming we’d come out pretty well but you never really know other teams perceptions? I can imagine JWP would get a few hits esp from Palace & Villa just because he’s been awesome with their starlets
am looking forward to the west ham match thread!?!? massive game for west ham! i felt sorry for the irons this morning but that feeling was gone by late morning.
Beat the Spammers and Watford lose to the Scousers later and even the least positive of Saints fans will surely relax...13 points clear with 10 to go.
I was going to like this but then I thought "why would anyone feel sorry for West Ham?" Your posts used to make me laugh jonny, but since you moved to Northampton you've become mainstream.
Feeling sorry for West Ham is bizarre, very left-field. The fact we can assist edging them closer to the chill, hauntingly deep waters of the Championship, is a delightful prospect.
i am enjoying being middle of the road generally whilst being middle of the table but david moyes wins games of football. its what he does and he is seemingly able to do this whilst losing the most games too. spooky
I keep rewinding and rewatching that cross field ball from Adams to Armstrong - it's my new addiction; sometimes I watch the goal, other times I focus on other players / the crowd / the commentary / Reina's casual stroll back to his area. Best TV of 2020 so far.
