Time for others to step up now tomlins out injured , hes carried the team since Harris come in , push Vaulks up
Bit of a flourish with 3 shots just before half time. Need to start the second half with the same spirit.
Harris needs to roll the dice half time. Maybe Glatzel to play with Albert instead of Ward who probably only got the nod today because of the Tomlin situation. Having said that, I bet the first change will see Hoilett coming on instead of Murph. How predictable would that be?
Looking at the half times I see the Jacks are ahead but the Wurzels and Preston are both losing at home. With the earlier result today and last night's game, what a chance for Harris to really put some pressure on that top 6 - he's just got to go for it.
Richards needs to be binned and Bennett is not firing. Where are the two January fullback loanees Smith and Sanderson - not even on the bench. This a poor showing on and off the pitch. Players and management to take equal responsibility. Ralls should have been brought on to get hold of the midfield - it was a situation at half time tailormade for him. Poor decisions from Harris.
Why did we loan Brad and dion crying out for new blood and dare I say it a ****ing idea of how to play football Thank you Mr Harris but no thanks
I expect big changes v Forest (including someone for Uncle Albert who I assume will be ineligible) but without Tomlin we’re impotent.
No Tomlin, lack of guile and creativity. Ralls must start on Tuesday even if it means pushing Vaulks further forward. Ward had a few efforts but, like Glatzel, does not hit the target often enough. As Ninian said, Uncle Albert will be ineligible Tuesday so Hoilett or Whyte likely to start. Alternatively beef up midfield with Bacuna to start on the right. It means playing with just one winger but we can push up more and should improve ball retention.
Really dissappointing to turn in a performance like that. The players on the pitch were like strangers to each other and the management off it was unambitious and lacking in vision. I thought we'd turned the corner this past few games but we've had more False Dawns than a transvestite's convention. We've tried to put it to the back of our minds but now we need to face it. Major rethink needed as to a plan for the future and we need to know that Tan is on board and prepared to take some serious decisions as to players, management, and especially at board level - this isn't working.
I’m in the rugby stadium at the moment (freebie) but all I can think of is how dire the rest of our seasons going to be now.
Right - had a chance to watch the 20 minute extended highlights (highlights??) of the game yesterday and have to say I was definitely pleased with one thing. It wasn't being played at the CCS where I would have sat through that crap in real time. We were an absolute shambles from front to back on the pitch and likewise on the touchline where there was no idea how to solve the problems unfolding in front of them.
