It works both ways though. Sometimes we play as if we think we are City or Barca. We're at our best without the ball; when the ball is in the opponents half. Starting with the Arsenal draw, which is arguably the start of our turnaround, I would say we've only put in two poor performances. West Ham and Burnley. Both of those matches, for one reason or another, we tried to "control". There's a lesson there. Our squad is fundamentally weak. We will make mistakes and I accept that. But we also need to maximise our chances of getting points, by playing to our strengths. And that isn't playing our way out of trouble in our own penalty box. Is it two or three goals we're scored in 2020 alone just by Stephens sticking one over the top?
Now then 1#7 enough of common sense and objectivity. I'll go along with patience and positivity (for the first 15 minutes at least).
Totally confident we've got this. Feeling in my water etc. Have gone for my favourite score, 3- 1 Lawro has us down to lose, so doubly confident now. Stephens to score the first one...
Setting off now. I can see clearly now the rain has gone. I can see all obstacles that were in my way, gone are the dark clouds that made me blind, I have a feeling it's going to be a bright, bright sunny day! COYR!!!!
2-0 if Vester doesn't play, 2-1 if he does...Danny and Shane to score as Shane loves scoring against Villa.
Made it down to St Mary's today (I know, Gao out, boycott etc) but my lovely 7 year old actually asked to come today for his birthday treat. He's surrounded by Liverpool fans at school and I was getting worried for his loyalty. He's never seen us in anything other than a friendly so I'm hoping he's a good luck charm. COYR
So we loose our best midfielder to play out of position with a real RB sat on the bench, unbelievable!
