Watched a chunk of the Derby v Fulham game, I thought they were both very poor, if Fulham hadn't got Mitrovic they wouldn't be in the top 6 that's for sure, equally if we had him we'd be 12 points clear
I I just googled Irish pisshead Showed a pick of a bloke with a leeds cap on and a bottle of lucazade! Any ideas?
Re. McKinstry, I asked the same question tonight. Someone said he was playing for Scotland last night, but I checked the web & all I could find was McCarron making his debut for the u19s. McKinstry usually plays for the u17s, but they didn't have a game. Who knows, might be on the bench tomorrow, then again, might be injured, or just not good enough. My thought is that Poveda is being fastracked. Which is a pity in a way, as unlike yourself, I didn't see a great deal from him tonight. TBF, I missed the first 10 mins, & everyone was poor in the second half. Speaking of injury, I don't know if you noticed that Berra switched with Struijk towards the end. He had looked absolutely knackered for a while, then was feeling his right hammy. We'd used all 3 subs, so made sense to switch to protect him. Have to say that Kamwa impressed me in long spells for the first time ever. In fact, I didn't realise it was him. He's filled out a lot since last season (confirmed by a few people I asked, including one of the u23 fitness guys' wife). A lot. Was a wee skinny boy on the wing last season. I actually mistook him for Big Kev, as I'd not seen him, but of course he wouldn't be playing on a Friday & Saturday together, plonker that I am. Another thing I'd never realised about Kamwa is that he has an unusual running style & is deceptively quick. Reminded me very much of a certain JFH at times. Has the same silhouette too, now. Keeper not to blame for their goal, btw. Was an unstoppable peach from the angle I was at. Even Leeds fans were applauding it.
I guess coming from Citeh, I expected Poveda to go straight into the first team. What what you've seen of him, he is ready? What does he offer?
He never played for city first team so no guarantees he’ll make ours but hopefully he will. Far too much pressure put on the lad on social media because of the “city” Thing in my opinion
I agree. He's a confident young man full of swagger, but what will he be like if 34000 fans abuse him for being a bit of a tit in a match? And of course, there's our old friend Social Media to really test him when he gets ripped apart for missing a chance or shirking a tackle or something like that. Glad to see he's being broken in gently. Leeds is Leeds, & not easy for a new (external) youngster to get established. I don't think his technical skill is an issue, it's his head that's being super-developed atm imo.
It’s a good job we’ve turned a corner in our last three games and received no further lengthy injuries as our January transfer window has proved to be pretty poor in all honesty. The two we signed might turn out to be great but impact so far is zilch
If I were Radz I’d be asking questions, like why did I spend another chunk of money on a loan striker not deemed anywhere near ready by Bielsa. Did he arrive a stone overweight, why was his fitness not pointed out at the medical, nothing really makes sense with the striker loan. I’d also question who sanctioned £4m to be spent on Nketiah and allow a recall clause
