Nah mate, not of the sky, but not of the grass either, and you shouldn't centre align either. although exception for Luv when he did his towering one, now that was a quaity pic.
Generally when you take a picture rather than centre align, go for one of your four corners of the camera, hard to explain, but the angle makes it less, boring, for want of a politer word. Take the picture below as an example... please log in to view this image

One of mine from a few years ago of Thornaby Bridge at night. Took this from my son's flat window at about 10 at night. No tripod, used the barrier to steady, 22 seconds b/time at f/8 in RAW... took this with a 8mp lumix I was testing, the big camera boys want you to spend the cash with new stuff on their camera's but just shoot in RAW, process yourself and buy yourself an old Canon or Nikon full frame for peanuts..
