What was the difference in lap time between the hard and softest tyres as Hamilton was on 1.5 seconds off last years pole at Barcelona?

I thought the aim was 0.3-0.5 sec between compounds. So hard to softest would be about 1.5 to 2.5sec!!!
So as it's first day, looks like the cars will be faster.

2018 difference in tyre compounds vs times:
    Mediums to softs: 0.8s
    Softs to supersofts: 0.4s
    Supersofts to ultrasofts: 0.6s
    Ultrasofts to Hypersofts: 0.7/0.8s

    Found 2019 data:
    C1 to C2: 0.8-1.0 seconds
    C2 to C3: 0.7 seconds
    C3 to C4: 0.6 seconds
    C4 to C5: 0.6 seconds

All of those were way above the 0.3 to 0.5 sec difference!!! Looks like Merc are going to be quick again!!!!!

I think the FIA needs to have a serious discussion about the Racing Point.

It's the 2019 Mercedes painted pink.

I'd be very suspicious of data sharing if theyve managed to get the philosophy working exactly as it did last year.

I think customer cars on the sly, expecially ones that best genuinely independent manufacturers like McLaren, Renault and Williams, would be extremely unhealthy for the sport.

They'll look at it as much as they did when Haas had cloned the Ferrari.......
